Good value and generally kind and good service. Breakfast was decent with some day-to-day variety. Room was in fair (not excellent) condition when we arrived; but they eventually fixed all major problems. Excellent A/C and no bugs. One watch out was Expedia claimed rooms had safes; but our room did not. Their solution (which they did immediately on request) was to bring in a safe from elsewhere. They were not persuaded by the concern that safes should be bolted to the wall from the inside. Besides that, I would rate this hotel as very secure; front entrance is staffed all night and it’s in a larger building that is also guarded.

I stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed my stay very much. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The shower always had hot water. The buffet breakfast was always delicious and the server Hosianna was very kind and helpful. My only complaint is that I wished the Wi-Fi was available in the restaurant and lobby as well. It was strong in the room I rented.

Worse hotel
Very old rooms. Not renovated. I saw a cockroach in the bathroom. The bed and the bedsheets were very old as and light brown instead of white as it is been used for so long. I booked for 3 days but I left the hotel early move into another hotel.

My stay was pleasant. I especially loved the food, it was a little overpriced but good. The reception desk was very helpful and friendly. The only downside was house keeping. We once left our room and travelled to the city centre only to return after 2 hours and found it not cleaned. They later came in at around 3pm as we were in to have it cleaned which i declined. And then during our last day, a super rude house keeping lady came to our room at 9.45am as were packing and told us that she wanted to clean. We told her that were getting ready to check out as the check out time indicated was supposed to be 11am. She told us to hurry up and leave as she wanted to do her job. I found it offensive that staff should rush you while you've not overstayed.

When I arrived the stagg greeted me by name. It caught me off guard, but was wonderfully welcoming. They made every effort to make sure I was happy with my stay, which made me feel very much at home.

Avoid this hotel due to rude staff !
This is one of the hotels to avoid if you want to experience the good side of Tanzanian hospitality. We booked two executive rooms for staff for their business trip to Dar using Bookings.com, and upon arrival was our staff faced with rude stupidity. The staff did acknowledge confirmed and paid bookings made using hotels.com, they disputed the payment, and eventually provided wrong rooms. The manager had to step in, and hours after check-in was the proper booked rooms available. (It cannot be the customers' job to ensure that staff is trained in using online bookings facilities) Room service was terribly slow, and when they finally showed up, food was cold and specific ordered items where missing. The staff was in generally very rude and hostile We will in the future disregard this option in Dar internally as well as externally - it's simply not worth the hassle.

ok, clean, but just ok
nothing wrong with the hotel, but nothing great either, the main thing, it was clean, however, when you take the towels, replace them! the same with the coffee, and to have a bar that didn't sell alcohol was just weird, please note, i did manage to get a beer a couple of times, but not every time and came back late from mafia island and we were whacked and we both just wanted a beer, but again, no alcohol! we gave up and started going out, and listening to the same xmas songs on a 30/40 minute loop all day every day right into the new year! mainly boney m! that really was annoying, and i'm not exaggerating, all day every day before xmas & into the new year, mental!

A perfect holiday in a perfect hotel!
Millennium Seashells is a beautiful hotel. The hotel staff take really good care of their guests. The rooms are spacious and clean. The swimming pool is always maintained. The breakfast is amazing. I took two rooms and stayed there for 6 nights. I highly recommend this hotel.

The same food has different prices depending on day. They bring towels to the rooms after 9pm or you have no towel in the evening for shower. The TV works on and off. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The customer service were somewhat efficient though the owners can be nonchalant.

Sea shells Mellineum hotel is located opposite the main road, which is a very attractive place nearby the small shops, banks and exchange money. Thier staff will offer you an excellent service. The hotel accommodation are free gym access, swimming pool, wifi, free ironing and free parking.

Showers Drainage is a serious Problem!!!
We stayed here for just one night. Location is OK, and everything looks great on the internet / hotel's website, BUT, there is a huge problem of drainage in the shower. We had 2 bedrooms, and both of our rooms experienced the same problem within just 2 minutes after taking shower. We contacted front desk who arranged for their maintenance guy to come fix the problem, but it did happen again the same night and next morning; and you could tell that this is an ongoing issue.

Reasonable hotel in a quite location.
The room size was big enough and air-conditioned. Beds were comfortable. Good arrangement of stuff in the room. Lacks variety of fruits and food for breakfast. However, on request the Chef was available to provide hot meal. A big thanks to the Chef. The hotel is located in a compound having public area. Lacks cleanliness - from the car parking to the entrance of the hotel. Once entered the hotel, it is quite Ok.

Winning location
The best part of this hotel is it's location, but also one of the downsides. For a business trip it is well located, it also works relatively well for night life as it is not to far from the entertainment. However it's has been constructed on the roadside of a major highway, so it can get noisy. The premises only operated a cash bar which isn't great if you are used to signing the bill and paying it all on check out. Unfortunately, you can tell the contractor cut corners during construction as key elements such as the lift, showers are already faulty, considering the hotel opened not more that 3 months before. The general attention to detail is lacking. But if you don't care for such details, it works.
