I booked this hotel last minute as my cousin who was the one killed at the wingstop at Irving was having his funeral last minute so I found this hotel and I messaged the property letting them know I was landing from LAX by 4am after a delayed trip. I arrived by 5am and my booking with this hotel was still available, nothing was cancelled. I called the front desk when I got there and the black lady named Jay answered and you can tell I interrupted her sleep ON THE JOB. She said “oh that reservation was cancelled” I was like wait are you serious? I did not get anything and then she started talking smack under her breath saying “idk why they even come” like girl if you wanna sleep go back home you don’t need to do this. She opened the door and she started giving me attitude cause I showed up to my booking and because I woke her up. Trust me I grew up in the worst streets of LA you don’t scare me. She said “oh at 2am I cancel reservations if you don’t show up” I told her “well on my end there’s no cancellation, no refund and I still have my booking”. I got my hotel but still i wouldn’t have shown up if it was cancelled. Regardless worst check in experience as I was there for a FUNERAL not pleasure!!!

The only thing wrong with the property was that the elevator was dirty. Everything else was great! The staff is extra friendly and helpful!

Chose this property as it is located a few minutes walk from a DART Light Rail station as I was not hiring a car whilst on vacation in the area. Property was ideal for my needs, though I didn't have need of the cooking/washing facilities provided in the room during the time of my stay. Obviously aimed more at guests with cars as there is nothing much in the way of shops/eating places in the immediate area, but that was not a problem as far as I was concerned. It's only 3 stops from DFW on DART - about 15 mins journey, whilst it's a 40 min trip on DART to Downtown Dallas.
