Had an enjoyable stay at the Hitching Post. Character little hotel in nice community and area. Terrific access to Black Canyon of the Gunnison North Rim! Hotel owners were the sweetest and gave us a great first impression of the place! Room was cozy and nice. Little fridge, microwave, AC, smart TV. Room coffee was terrible though 😜

Room was basic but really large and very clean and comfortable. Room had a microwave and small fridge, which was nice to have. There is a good restaurant right across the street. The owner, Cherrie, was very nice and helpful. It is reasonably priced and close to Hotchhkiss, where there is a grocery store and other restaurants. I enjoyed my stay very much and will stay there again when I'm in the area.

This is a great place to stay in a beautiful town of Crawford. So convenient and close to Black Canyon. The owners are very friendly and helpful and run the place very well. Our room had everything we needed for 1 night stay including a fridge, microwave and a coffee machine.

WHAT a find! Super cute hotel, lovely welcoming host who gave us some great tips of things to visit locally. The local restaurant staff were really friendly and welcoming and even gave us a free desert to celebrate our honeymoon. Such a lovely little town.

Very clean. An older property that has been well maintained. The walls were a little thin but everyone went to bed early. We were there to watch our grandson wrestle in hotchkiss so it was a convenient option in stead of driving.

I loved the western theme of the town, maybe the rooms should follow the theme. When booking the room it said the room was newly renovated, painted paneling and 70's furniture don't exactly qualify as "renovated"...

The property is historic so it lends itself to being a bit more on the rustic side. Basic and no frills and clean rooms. Cherri is a warm, welcoming and helpful presence.

Great spot for a get away. Wifi was almost non existent but we were prepared for that, so it was actually quite pleasant. The place was very clean and comfortable. Most of all, the owners and help were outstanding hosts. Will most likely return again.

A Great place. The nicest room we had on our trip and the best meal at the bar down the street. The Autumn colors were great - be sure to see the north rim of Black Canyon nearby.

I called the morning of check in because we were traveling there from a few hours away on a Sunday (the main office has different hours on Sunday). The proprietor was so friendly & welcoming on the phone. She provided info regarding local restaurant availability & property amenities. We made mutually agreeable check in arrangements & continued our journey. Loved the "old West" vibe. Would definitely stay again.

For what we paid it was a great place to stay. Two areas of concern would be that there were no bolt locks and hotel room doors were opened from the outside not within the building so having no bolts was a little concerning. The airconditioner would sometimes cut in for only 3 seconds and cut off and then 10 minutes later cut in for a regular cycle. Annoyig when trying to sleep. Otherwise this was a great place and I would stay again.
