The beach is amazing, water with agility to snorkel and look at the amazing fish. Room was great with ocean view the only thing i was disappointed was the bed was too hard.

Hotel is old a needs updated the ac units are inconsistent from room to room being old. The pool side staff needs more. Santiago and Paulino are awesome but struggled thin being only outside waiters. Variety of food is good and will make almost anything if asked. Overall good spot with excellent water for snorkeling.

This was a great resort. The staff was very attentive and eager to assist with anything. We had a blast. My only complaint would be the drinks from soda to juice to mixers were all very watered down. When you ask for a pineapple juice or an orange juice, expect pineapple or orange flavored water. The food in the main restaurant was ok. The reservation restaurant was good. Not out of this world great but, good....ish. I'm certainly not a food or resort snob. Just the average joe and the average joes fiance'. The resort grounds were nice and the snorkeling from the resort beach was fantastic. We definitely would return. If returning to Cozumel, El Cozmeleno is the place I would go..hands down.

This resort of one that I will continue to come back to year after year. This was my fifth time staying and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and accommodating as always. This was the first time i've been with my child (2 years old) and everyone was so welcoming to him. I highly recommend!

Not great, but not terrible. It was very safe and we felt safe the whole time at the resort and exploring the city of Cozumel. Cheap liquor and food used for the all inclusive, but not terrible, just not great. They had a variety of cocktails they’d make for you and everything was all inclusive. But imagine the most mediocre all inclusive and that’s what this place was. However, the grounds were beautifully kept and beaches so prestigious with the water color having rich hues of blue. It’s a get what you pay for kinda of situation. Cheap for a reason…Rooms were outdated and misleading in their advertising. Various things were broken or not working properly in our room, like the faucets and AC. Bed was NOT comfortable. They don’t have fans available for their rooms and you won’t be able to get it cooler than 74 degrees by thermostat set and design of the hotel. Waiters were friendly but pushy to provide service so as to get tips. We absolutely expected and were happy to tip for services throughout our stay, but sometimes I just wanted to grab a cup of coffee and scone and sit down at a table. But they pressured us to let them provide service regardless and then when they realized we weren’t going to tip because we didn’t need anything or ask for anything, switched their attitudes and became passive aggressive. Got old after 7 days of that. So I’d say this a very 2.5-3 star all inclusive hotel.

The staff is excellent, I've been coming here for 19 years. The staff is my family away from home. Without the staff this hotel won't last one season. I am disappointed in some of the guests for not tipping, these people work hard to make your stay enjoyable, so please tip often!

Staff were outstanding, best I've been around - very attentive, responsive, always upbeat and happy, great to be around. Air Conditioning struggled to dry the humidity in the room and cool nicely. Food was good in the buffet area, excellent in the dining room. Pina coladas, strawberry daquiris, other "ice cream" drinks were sugary, with little alcohol.

The swim up bar was nice to have and the hotel could look to update the pool tile area and hotel rooms, as although clean, a bit outdated and a simple more modern update would be great.

El Cozumeleno is a good resort as long as you are not looking for activities on site. There are a few here and there such as painting and bingo. No show's for entertainment. We wanted an inexpensive place to sleep at night with all inclusive. Food is good not exceptional but option to eat off resort the local foods. Great parking if you rent a car. Beautiful beach, great snorkeling right off the beach. We did have an issue with ants in our original room but the hotel staff were very accommodating and our second room was perfect. All rooms look out to the ocean. Staff were great!

This was a wonderful quite non pretentiousness resort. The staff were wonderful and attentive. I was 5 days into my 10 day stay when I broke my foot and couldn't walk. My waiter Danny went above and beyond for me. He was the BEST and made my stay wonderful even hurt like I was.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We were there just two days but the place wasn't busy at all - just the way we like it. We were celebrating my birthday and once we checked in, room service brought a nice plate with 4 cake balls on it and a personal message with my name wishing me a happy birthday and to enjoy our stay ! Only downside to our visit was our room didn't have a mini fridge but other than that- we would stay here again!

We absolutely love coming to El Cozumeleno. The staff is amazing. Shout out to Santiago, Paulino, Emanuel, Gabriel, Yannette, Lorena (our housekeeper) and the rest. The hotel is nice. It’s older but sufficient. The beach and ocean at the resort is FANTASTIC. The food is descent. I highly recommend ordering quesadillas on the beach. Thanks again to everyone at the resort who helped make this another perfect stay at our favorite resort on Cozumel.

We had a great time and met some wonderful people! The staff, especially the cleaning staff, were amazing. While the property is a bit worn, our room was spotless as were the amenities….except for the birds! Excellent stay!

This place is a diamond, the staff was very friendly and nice. The place has beautiful beach and great snorkeling. Like I spoke with the manager this place only need more investment in remodeling, things looks very old. I hope they can put some money in an updated plan.

This place is very relaxed. If you’re looking for a homey feel and nothing uptight this is the place. My mom and sister enjoyed the pool while the rest of the family was snorkeling. This was our 2nd time staying and we will be going back!

we had a great time but the property is very dated.. The ac did not work well and of course its tropical so it was hot. We we're determined to have a great vacation and we did... We stayed here for our honeymoon and the amenities provided were perfect for our extended stay. The staff were all courteous and polite. The facilities and rooms were clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend this resort as an option for staying in Cozumel island. The food provided was good, but I do wish there were more menu options for Mexican foods.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at The el cozumeleno. The pools were great. The beach area was clean and nice. There were lots of fish to snorkel with water was pure and clean rooms were clean. My only complain is the smell of garbage around the pool bar. At times it was rank. But thoroughly enjoyed would stay again

The room was very old and run down. Bathroom shower tiles were dirty. The room needed to be painted and had peeling paint. If you dont go down to beach early in the morning and put a towel on a chair, you will not have one later. Not enough chairs. Food was ok but the steak restaurant required reservation and every night they stated there weren’t anymore reservations available.

We loved this resort for the snorkeling, beach and pool areas. There is a lack of entertainment but that was ok with the group I was with. The food was what I always get at AI's. The staff is what was the best here! We had the absolute best service and attention!
