"I have stayed at this hotel in the previous months with my service animal. They did not ask me for documents the previous time (nor are they legally allowed to) so I did not bring anything this time. Now they are charging a fee for my service animal because I don’t have the paperwork they say they “require.” This is extremely illegal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), hotels are not allowed to ask for documentation, certification, or ID cards for a service animal. Not only this, but the lady at check in told me “I could have a dog too and say it’s a service animal” essentially implying I’m lying. Very unprofessional. They would not let me check in without paying the pet fee.
And for being a new place the rooms are not as clean as they should be. There was hair in the corner of the restroom and in the towels. Rust through the shower."
