Great coffee and free breakfasts. Room chairs and room patio area need cleaning. I miss the pre-COVID afternoon lemonade and cookies.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The door of my room didn’t close properly so it blew open late at night which was scary. Also, door of the veranda was open when we arrived and we didn’t notice until the next day and our room was loud and noisy. Daily breakfast was good with a large variety.

I LOVE this place! Everything about it works for my family. Location was our first draw and since staying there in EVERY trip to Coronado I get to experience all the other pluses. I’ve stayed with just by myself, with 3 teenagers and even additional family. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect and even allowed us a space to “meet up” when needed. Guest services and breakfast are above and beyond! I feel like I have the best secret hideaway.

Great location
Stayed here for a few nights. Was not the first time and will not be the last. It is an historic building turned hotel/motel long ago. Close to food and the beach.They have done well maintaining and upgrading the rooms. They were working on a few while we were there. Our room had not yet been recently redone. Thought the bed was great and the water hot, there were other small issues that could be looked into. Mainly the fact that despite paying well over 300 for the room, we are still forced to use plastic cups? We have had real glass at hotels at half the cost. So stop using Covid as an excuse. The windows were still single pane with blinds but they should have a drape over them to block the bright light outside the door. Upon leaving we found a pincher bug in our bed. But with that said, we still love the spot and will stay again soon.

I liked how friendly the staff was when we checked in. The location of the hotel makes it easy and accessible to go shopping and dinning. However, I was tuned down by the rooms, especially the bathroom. The room didn't provide bottle water and it was not friendly. The bathroom shower floor was slippery and and not too clean. Also, the breakfast provided for the guests had a lot to be desired. The egg was cold and the ham was not too appetizing. The coffee was good, but it needs more variety.

Unfortunately our experience with the room was not great. It smelled of mildew, and upon returning from dinner we found it infested with ants; they were crawling on our toothbrushes. The young man at reception was very sweet and changed our room immediately, but the presence of insects is hard to forgive. There was no hotel manager onsite when this occurred, and the management is ultimately responsible for guest experience.

Great Stay
We had a wonderful one night stay on NYE at Glorietta Bay Inn. Check in was super easy with Alex at the front desk. The room was spacious & very clean. We loved the thick fluffy bath towels & robes that were supplied. We would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful hotel close to the beach, room service at a fair rate, clean a spacious rooms, soft beds with very comfortable bedding (not the cheap scratchy stuff). Quiet time!!! Hot tub is nice and rarely crowded. Only complaint is that I paid for a room facing the water, that ended up being almost completely blocked by trees.

Glorietta Bay Inn is a gem!
The Inn is beautiful, breakfast good and service was wonderful. Select either a room in the Inn or one facing the pool. The location is perfect for seeing Coronado Island on foot, and many excellent restaurants close by.

Weekend getaway
Hotel is beautiful,staff were very nice and professional. Hotel is older but yet maintained very well. Room was clean, smelled good the carpet was getting old and needs new carpet. We were in Room 222 which is on second floor the stairwell needed cleaning due to dirt and leaves. Location is great, right accross the strret from from Coronado hotel and beach which made it an easy walk also walking distance to shops and resturants on Orange st.

Most everything I liked, and was fine, however the breakfast could use improvement. The eggs served on all days just were not appealing, The coffee was convenient, but there was no option to have real milk or cream with the coffee, just the imitation kind with bad ingredients. Also, I did not like being charged for the breakfast, pool , towels, etc. after my stay. If there must be fees like this, then I would rather that be included in the cost of the room to be paid before the stay. With taxes and fees it is more than $40.00 per day, so you have know idea how much the total cost of the room is until after your stay, and when you are checking out. It makes it difficult to budget beforehand. My previous vacation was in Charleston, SC, and they did not have fees like this , after the stay

Great location and awesome property for the price. Decor fits well with the area. Only downside is they charge $30 for parking if you don’t book directly through them. Which sucks because that makes you feel like you are being punished. It should be the same for ALL GUESTS!

Hotel Glorieta review.
The personnel were pleasant. The 1st room allowed too much noise & the carpet was stained. The second room was pleasant but the water spout in the bath was rusted & cobwebs were found behind the door. The towels were great, not rough. Breakfast was decent and so was the ambient looks of the hotel. Over all we rate it 3 to 3.5 stars.
