"I didnt know what to expect when I booked it. Arrival was by bus from the airport to the harbour and boat to the island. The harbour is not easy to maneuvere, and not advisable for anyone with mobility issues. There are 16 cottages and they are small but lovely, mine [number 1] was right on the beach. The staff and boatmen are lovely and nothing is a problem to them, including arranging excursions for you. Food is good and pool area great. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful week."

"We stayed three nights are El Rio Y Mar Resort and wish we could have stayed a week. This resort is hands down the best resort we have stayed at in the Philippines. It's very secluded from the hustle and bustle of Coron yet close enough that you can still do the island hopping tours and excursions. The staff were exceptional from the time you arrive to the time you depart. The food at the ONLY restaurant was absolutely delicious. We were a bit nervous about there only being one restaurant...

"The resort was "decent". Booked entirely based on price. Resort needs some serious TLC. They should invest in the property and it would be nice. Remove window aircon and install split system. Install small refrigerators in the rooms. Our aircon barely dropped the temperature even when i left it running 24 hours Restaurant was not good.
