Crusoe's Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were wonderful and the place is beautiful. The gardens are very well maintained. There are activities everyday and music in the evenings. The people living in the village next door are very friendly and the children are very nice and respectful. The spa is wonderful. The chefs are friendly and answer any questions you may have about local food."

Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent resort! Staff are all wonderful, beautiful grounds and facilities, and good food & drinks. Enjoyed the suites and having a private walk-in pool. Most guests staying in the rooms across from the suites were respectful of the private pool to suite owners and didn't try to use it."

Likuri Island Resort Fiji
10/10 Excellent
"A true immersion in Fijian culture, and a lovely island resort. Definitely not 5* but well looked after. The staff was very friendly, always enjoying what they were doing. On the negative, the snorkel is negligible. No coral at all, just a few fish."

DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji - Sonaisali Island
8/10 Good
"We all came back feeling so refreshed — this trip was exactly what we needed as a family. There's plenty to keep you busy without ever leaving the resort; just make sure you book ahead. And honestly, the massage I had there? One of the best I've ever had. One person who really made our trip special was Samuela from the horse stables. He was absolutely wonderful with our one-year-old, getting him all excited around the horses and even letting him try fresh coconut water straight from the tree — a first for our little one! One thing to know before you go — the resort is a bit out of the way, so we'd really suggest hiring a rental car. It makes such a difference being able to explore at your own pace and see the real Fiji rather than just the tourist spots. Speaking of which, Denarau is lovely but very touristy, so don't skip the island trips. Just head over to Port Denarau and choose which island takes your fancy. We also had a brilliant dinner at Indigo Restaurant in Port Denarau — highly recommend it. And for families travelling with little ones like us, South Seas Island was a perfect choice. We booked through GetYourGuide which worked out much cheaper, so definitely worth checking out."

Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa
8/10 Good
"Lovely staff. Unfortunately the waterpressure at the resort was terrible! Also extremely loud music blaring from the bar area, we saw so many customers leave the area. We were wanting to leave a tip for staff at the end of our 9 day stay but was told they did not accept credit cards for tips! I assume that most guests would pay by card? Overall, a nice break with very nice staff. Just a few adjustments would fix many things, such as a chalk board with daily activities in the main bar area, much prefereable to the unintelligible chatter from staff members behind the bar. I think proper staff training would be advisable. Otherwise an enjoyable break. Thank you!"

Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing place to stay, nothing but good things to say."

Fiji Gateway Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stay, clean, tidy and modern rooms (so opposite of Novotel Nadi). Staff are good value. Location is incredibly handy to the Airport."

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa by IHG
8/10 Good
"Nice property, small enough to get around easily. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. Highlight was the soaking tub on the balcony and the enthusiastic friendliness of the staff. Low points: spa was meh, did not have the infrared sauna and cold plunge as advertised and the steam room was out of order. The food was really not good. Breakfast was poorly cooked, like raw bacon and hard boiled poached eggs that took forever to get. I had dinner at their fine dining venue, also not good. The best was the pool grill where I had a nice chicken tajine with quinoa. The New Zealand ice cream for sale is to die for. At one breakfast, I asked for a second latte to take away and I was charged $10. That type of nickel and diming is unpleasant. The staff occasionally breaks out in song which is really lovely and they are quite talented. Lots of kids around so I am thinking this resort is more family leaning and not really romantic."
