Friendly staff with quick check in. My room was nice despite mold in the shower. Very noisy people above me keeping me awake my entire stay. The walls are thin you hear a simple conversation with people next to you .

I knew it was pet friendly and there was no pet odors at all.( Fantastic).. I also knew the property was old... that being said...it's dated...in really needs upgrades...but it served it's purpose.

Hotel worn down. Party in room next door all night. Called front desk several times about noise. 1st call they got quite. One call desk never answered. 3rd call desk said they never got. All we needed was a good night sleep. DONT expect to get one here or that stafff is helpful about any of your needs!

The staff were very nice, and the aura was very welcoming! The bed was so comfy, and the bathroom was very clean. I was very comfortable staying here. If you want a historical and welcoming feeling, this is a great place to be!

At first, I thought the property was nice, but that changed. They need renovation badly. Toilets and tubs are pink. Beds are very old, having slept in one with springs. They try to hide the old with decoration which doesn’t help the fact that the place is just too old. I would never stay there again.

old does not mean dingy dark dirty. broken blinds -stained ceiling tiles - dirty lamp shades -stained dirty furniture in lobby area ...... if it wasnt such a hassel to get payment back -- we asked--- WE DIDNT WANT TO CHECK IN with no choice we stayed but need a room change which was only a drop better ....absolutely terrible

Although the hotel is older it is well maintained, clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly & helpful. Coffee in the morning at the continental breakfast is hot and fresh. Cookies throughout the day & evening with access to Keurig for coffee or tea was appreciated. Location is great!

We loved our stay at the Colt's Neck Inn while attending a birthday party nearby. It felt welcoming and personal the minute we walked in with fresh flowers, old-style wood paneling, scented candles burning on the reception counter. We enjoyed sitting by the electric fireplace in cozy chairs while looking at the GPS. The breakfast room had a cupboard with board games that guests were welcome to bring up to their rooms. Cookies, tea & coffee were available 24/7. Our room had a King bed with firm mattress, antique leather daybed, beaded lampshades, small fridge & microwave. Best of all was the fresh red rose on the bedside table and a pink floating rosebud by the bathroom sink. The shower curtain was a nice quality fabric print. the tub was deep. Water was super hot! What a pleasant change from the institutional decor of chain hotels. We enjoyed the grand staircase going up to a landing with an oversize vintage velvet sofa and classic wicker loveseat, and more book nooks. It's a pet friendly hotel so there were cat and dog treats in glass jars by the reception desk. When we left for the party it was pouring rain so the receptionist loaned us an oversize umbrella. After the party we wanted to watch TV but the screen said no signal. The in-room phone worked, I called reception and it was fixed pronto. We ended up playing scrabble instead. Above par breakfast - bagels, muffins, waffles, fruit, yoghurt, maple syrup and Nutella. Friendly atmosphere all around.

Very nice place overall..The grounds outside could use a good yard man especially in the back of the hotel. I noticed they need a place to extinguishe cigarette butts in the back walkway instead of a tiny flower pot..it is not used which makes it look very trashy.. The staff was superb.. Definitely would stay in the future..

This is my third stay at The Colts Neck Inn and l just love it there. It offers a lovely peaceful respite. The room’s amenities are great and the beds are so comfortable. Its all that you need for a break.

I was expecting more for an 8.6 rating. This seems to be a place people stay for a short visit. Still, the rooms are very dated. The mattress had a thick plastic cover on it rendering sleeping a noisy endeavor. Not sure how they could expect somebody to sleep on it. Took it off. Air system worked fine, but it's old. Thin walls. People walking above me in their room woke me up. Property is clearly aged. Breakfast was fine. They are trying with amenities, but many updates are needed. Showers are very old. Wifi needs better protection for working.

A very cozy, comfortable, and quiet environment. Staff made you feel welcome, complimentary coffee was always available, and the dining area was stocked 24/7 in case you got hungry or wanted coffee. Rustic, calm and tranquil environment. Dining area is also a social area and they encourage socializing. Very homey feel. Would recommend to anyone.

So comfy!
This was such a a wonderful stay! The suite was so amazing and comfortable... and the whirlpool tub was awesome 😎! The loveseats were wicked soft and squishy... And the staff were friendly and the bfast yummy. I can't say enough to give mad props to this property.
