A Great Stay
I stayed at this hotel for two nights from 13th to 15th Feb 2020. Although a little distance from the city center, it is a beautiful hotel with excellent, courteous and helpful staff ever eager to serve. The rooms are clean,spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The breakfast is great,offering many choices. It was a wonderful stay

Had requested a King size bed but got 2 single beds which was a bit too narrow. Otherwise found the hotel neat and clean and staff efficient. Also found your checkout process quick and efficient . Unlike many hotels which keep you waiting for 15/20 minutes till they check your room physically - which is very irritating !!

It was a decent hotel and well worth the price. However it is well out of central Colombo (but only a cheap Tuk-Tuk ride away, maybe 10 minutes) The rooftop bar is decent, nothing fancy though. All in all, a decent stay for a decent price.

Guard your stuff!
The hotel is clean and the service was good. But, our laptop was stolen the day we checked-out and we went to the local police station to file a police report and the police told us that there have been other cases related to theft in this hotel. So, if you plan to stay here make sure to guard your stuff pretty well. Other than that, there was nothing wrong with the hotel. Wifi was good, bathroom and the room was clean. There was no microwave in our room but we had a mini-fridge, electric kettle, and a tv.

A lovely city hotel where I always prefer to stay at in Colombo. From the first moment I walked into this hotel I found the service and the personal greetings were just amazing... The food and service were fabulous. Breakfast is excellent with an outstanding service. Special thanks to the friendly and really helpful staff who always ready to help.. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Colombo.

The location and staffs were great. Clean rooms. I wish the housekeeper wouldn't knock on my door 9am in the morning askingif i need my room to be services everytime i dont put a "do not disturb" sign out.

Warning - avoid if you're sensitive to fragrances
I stayed here 3 years ago and it was nice, but now it has come down very badly. The odor of a fragrant chemical pervaded the lobby and my room. This wasn't due to a puff of nasty air freshener; a lady from the front desk explained that it was mopping fluid. They said they'd send someone up with a mop without the chemical, but no one came, so I washed the floors in my room and bathroom (3 times) myself with a towel. The drain in the bathroom sink runs slow. The desk chair won't hold its height; I was typing with my chin on the desktop and my arms by my ears. I couldn’t take the computer to the bed because there's no outlet over there. The light fixture on the far side of the bed is so crooked that I wouldn’t want to plug anything in in its vicinity anyway. One of the cups they left for me was cracked and stained, but no worries because they didn’t restock the tea so there was nothing to brew in the cup. There's a big nasty swatch of grout on the lovely tiles in the bathroom. Put that mason on speed dial! He clearly takes great pride in his job. But the water only runs luke-warm and spurts sideways out of the base of the shower head, so I didn’t spend a lot of time in the shower. The wifi cuts in and out. The night clerk wears a tunic on which the metal clasp at the collar is rusted and half detached from the fabric. He wears socks but no shoes. On the good side, at least there are no bugs. The air conditioning works well and the bed is comfortable.

This hotel ideally located for meetings with some local life insurance companies and city centre. Staff very friendly. Had minor problem with TV one evening and had to chase room service on one occasion, otherwise all satisfactory. Comfortable bed, clean room, reasonable gym (bit small) and nice roof top bar.

Poor and Bad hotel with Unpleasant Staff !
We arrived hotel on 2nd July night at 1.30 am (of 3rd July) , The hotel informed us , there is “No reservation” and rejected to provide him the room . We tried several times by showing the reservation confirmation letter and insisted with the hotel that his Booking is already confirmed and been paid in Full. Unfortunately , the hotel still rejected and informed "there is no reservation !" It’s already 2 am , we were unable to leave and seek for new hotel (otherwise we would do) , we insisted with hotel for the room providing . Finally the hotel gave us one room at 2.30 am , unfortunately the room that hotel provided to us was not complied with our reservation ! (It’s only one Bed ) So , What's the meaning for your Topic Banner "Dear Sir, your booking is guaranteed and all paid for. There’s no need to call us - it’s booked! " ???????????????

We would like to recommend this hotel to anyone if you wish to stay in Colombo. Staff were very friendly and they went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was convenient. A bit far but nice and quiet hotel
We got there after 2 am and check in was fast wuth sufficient breakfast in the morning. We stayed there 3 nights (2+1) and staffs recognized us when we were back to the hotel. It is a bit far from tourist atractions but nice and quiet. My friends got off our private van to do some shoppings and was easy to come back by tuk tuk. This hotel is recommended for the quiet, clean and excellent staffs

My sister and I stayed in the hotel for 2nights. The place was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and sufficient. However there wasn't a good restaurant nearby to go either for lunch or dinner if we did not want hotel food.

Good rooms, reasonable rates compared to the rip-offs and noise of kingsbury and cinnamon grand. Very quiet, a little out of the way but good for business travel with good wi-fi connection. Hope they maintain the standards and rates. If the rates go up I am gone. :)

Stayed at the Best Western in Colombo for 8 nights. The staff at this hotel certainly contributed to making my trip to Sri Lanka an unforgettable one. They were extremely polite, helpful, pleasant and informative. Sulochana in particular deserves special mention for he went above and beyond what's expected, to assist me and I couldn't possibly thank him enough!

Great hotel in Colombo
We had 3 nights here and it was perfect for what we wanted which was to explore Colombo. There was always tuk tuks outside to taxi us about. The staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was a large mixed spread (so nice to find brown/wholemeal bread!) The gym was just right and had a great rooftop view over Colombo. The rooms were also a great size. Only downside was slow wifi :) Would stay again ****

I was visiting family & friends in South Colombo & this hotel was conveniently located for that purpose. It is fairly a new hotel & is clean & compact. While the reception, small lobby, bistro, corridors, the lift & the rooms are air-conditioned, the lift waiting areas are not. The bistro serves an adequate (but not extensive) selection of breakfasts, lunches & dinners at a reasonable price (A 3-course dinner was approx Rs1350 @ Rs200/£ £6.75 incl local taxes). Staff were courteous. Good value for money.

Good, but falls short in some areas
Price of this place is almost unbeatable for the type of hotel. The hotel staff and management are also very keen in providing the best service. But, the hotel falls short in meeting expectations in few areas. I've stayed here earlier soon after it was open, and over the last few months, it seems the conditions have deteriorated a bit (e.g. condition of the bathroom). Overall, a good deal for the price, but they could be better and really become exceptional for its category. I'll give another shot and consider coming back.
