This is an old building; first floor lobby smelled musty; so did room. Bathroom floor continually wet in spots -leak from somewhere! Baseboards in bathroom looked about 50 years old (seriously) with bulging wall and wood, cracked-looked like tile updated and renovation stopped there. Expensive valet parking.

This is a old style bank converted to a hotel. Although my room was spacious, it feels like the hotel was created "on the cheap.". There are no in-room safes (!?), the dresser drawers don't stay closed, the cable line-up card only listed the first half of the channels (!?), and the key card system to operate the elevators and rooms were balky..

It appears that the building itself is just very old and limited rehabilitation has been done to bring it up to date. The hallways are so dim and the blue bulbs of the hall lights cast a clinical, antiseptic glow. The lobby is dark and uninviting. The keys cards have to held in a certain way in order to use the elevator, and the key card proved problematic in activating one of the elevators. The heavy drapes of the room are just grim and depressing. The breakfast area is adequate, but nothing special, though the woman on duty was very helpful and attentive. The staff was very helpful and directing me to places for which I needed help and recommended a coffee place that turned out to be very pleasant. The staff is doing its best with a structure that could use improvement.

The water wouldn't stay in the jetted tub. I had to keep it filled by running water on. At breakfast my husband tried to toast his bread the toaster kept giving him warm bread. I won't be back for the money I spent it should of been better.

Did not originally get the room i had reserved. I asked the front desk regarding it and was then moved to the room I had reserved. I was then charged another $50 dollars on top of that. That was the only disappointing thing about it.

The hotel needs a complete overhaul. The best thing about it is the location, walkable to stadium, arena, and Rock and Roll Hall of fame. The lobby is unwelcoming/uninviting. There were stains on the gym floor. We exited the back side of the lobby and were greeted by disgustingly smelly garbage and grease(?) on the ground. Our room, while large was not good. The floor near the waste and recycle bins was sticky. That giant soaker tub is ridiculous, it would take forever to fill and is unappealing. The steps up to it made it dangerous to get in and out of the shower. All of the grout on the tile floor in the bathroom was pulverized, almost like it was dirt. Our king bed didn't have a second nightstand even though there was room. We could hear everything from our neighbors though the adjoining door (and I mean everything) and had to sleep with headphones on. They need to get rid of this and put in proper insulation.

I would not recommend staying at this place. We arrived a little earlier than check in time and was not allowed to check in which is understandable. We came back at 4 which is the stated check in time. We couldn’t check in because they said system was down but the people in line behind were checking in. When we asked why they told us our room wasn’t available yet. They couldn’t reach anyone from housekeeping After 30 minutes of waiting and watching others check in I asked again They said our room still isn’t available and just said do you want refunded and were extremely rude. They didn’t even consider our plans that were being ruined and had zero sympathy when told about them. This was probably the worst customer service we have ever experienced and will never stay here in the future

Old bank turned hotel. Nice high ceilings and hard wood floors. Elevators worked fast even though old. Staff was amazing and helpful and very friendly. In a great area of downtown walk to Rocket Mortgage arena. The second door look on room did I not work, telephone not connected and flush mechanism on toilet broke. They did fix it right away for us

Great location! So many restaurants and things to do. Very near the House of Blues so concert options are super close as well. Shopping, parking, it’s all there. Staff could not be any friendlier! Loved this hotel!

The hotel itself was okay, very average but was sold on luxury. It smelled horrible, like an old grandma or hot garbage every morning. Whoever our neighbors were constantly was having people in and out and standing in the hallways. We had a child with us and there were MANY women dressed risqué every morning in the lobby even though the area is very much so catered towards children. The room was very spacious but very dated. And the elevators are terrifying, very very dated, small and do not work properly at all. The staff seems okay, but like they don’t want to be there.. which i wouldn’t either if i had to sit in that smell all day.
