Loved the quaint old inn feel.the smell of cigars and cigarettes from the smoking cigar bar permeated the entire hotel. Great breakfast! Super clean basic room

I liked that the property was old, it was surrounded by other old buildings. Staff were very helpful, they carried our bag to our room which was on the second floor. One of the disadvantages of an old building is there is no elevator. I would have liked having a hot water kettle in the room.

Pictures online are deceiving. Very small rooms and bathroom. Smelled of cigarettes. Room didn’t have any water to drink. Handheld shower came off the wall. The mattress was nearly on the ground and the pillows too soft. Great location.

Clean, organised and convenient. The hotel may look like an older property, but the room and toilet was extremely clean, exceeding my expectations. The hosts were also organised and efficient with my check-in, sending instructions before arrival. The location is extremely convenient, walking distance to restaurants and attractions. I was also able to walk (10 mins) to the main train station with my luggage for the Bernina Express.

This boutique hotel is in the middle of the historic district in Chur. It is surrounded by interesting shops and centuries-old buildings (and is itself built around a centuries-old foundation). The owners and their staff are helpful and friendly.

I had a good time in Chur. The hotel staff were nice and helped me out , twice, when I had an issue with the Glacier Express.

Great location in the center of town! Beautiful building! Check to see if you will be sharing a bathroom, we didn’t realize it until we arrived. Not a hotel, more like a Hostel. No one to check you in, no elevator, incorrect room number and code to get the key. It was a miserably hot day and so hot in the room so we left and got an air conditioned room across from the train station.

This is a wonderful old building nicely redone inside. It has historic features and is in a historic square/neighborhood that is very cozy. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The bathroom is dated and a bit tight but clean, nice hot shower. There's coffee and tea in the corridor common area. The breakfast is with kind and friendly service. Walkable to train station and very safe. The overnight does not have a front desk - you have to get in with a code and a lockbox for your room key. No elevator. Felt like an authentic but modernized place, very lovely. Bed is a little low to ground, in case that's an issue for you.

Nice hotel in the Altstadt of Chur. Difficult to get to if you didn’t know that you had to drive through the narrow, pedestrian streets of the Altstadt. Have to walk to parking down the street or across the river.

Great location close to trams and train station. Walk to everything. Room was clean with great views. Rooms are dated but everything was fully functional including WiFi. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would book again.

Ghost Hotel
We arrived mid afternoon on a day that the hotel staff are not in attendance. We missed an email sent with instructions on how to enter the hotel (we do not check emails regularly when we are on vacation) and so had no way of getting into the hotel. So we hung around in the street outside with our suitcases until another guest came out and we were able to get in. Then we had no idea of how to check in until by luck I saw an envelope with our name on it and a room key inside. So, not a good start. But things got better. Our room was full of character. It was small, but that's OK in a hotel as old as this one. The view over the rooftops of old town was lovely. The location is excellent - in the heart of Old Town Chur and walkable from the rail station. We didn't see anyone at the hotel until breakfast the next morning. But breakfast was fine and ample. Overall, its a charming old hotel in the best part of Chur to stay, but a bit of a ghost hotel without staff!

Comfortable hotel in an historic building
This hotel is in a beautiful building with lots of character in the old town of Chur. The bedroom was comfortable with simple, modern fittings. Some of the communal areas, like the breakfast room, have a very rich characteristic decor.

This is a hustle at best. Shared shower. Shared toilet. We were on the 2nd floor and it smelled of smoke coming from the attached bar. Location was nice in the old town. 10 minutes to train station on foot. No parking available.

We are sorry to hear that. This weekend we had carnival in the old town of Chur and therefore rather loud and hectic. We apologize for the smoky taste. As we are in the middle of the old town it is not allowed the park the car here. The next park house is only 3 minutes away.

The hotel is a historic building located in the central old town of Chur. Nice breakfast is provided and indeed the restaurant is also good for dinner. The staff are helpful and kind to offered to carry my luggage to my room as the room was not ready when I reached the hotel in morning. However, the bathroom is too tiny and inconvenient to use. The bed is too soft and gave me a back pain. The hotel should consider to replace the mattress.

fascinating historical hotel in old town
In a fascinating location in the old town. The hotel is definitely a historical gem. The breakfast was excellent. Parking was a little difficult as the hotel is in a old town predestrian precinct . It was a pleasure to stay in such an amazing old building.

Staff very rude. Bathroom the size of a thimble. We had four cases and no one to help to take it to the third floor. They could not have cared less. For the property and conditions not worth the extortionate cost. Would not recommend and would never go back.

Me, my self, the manager of the hotel, did the bedding for another two people and helped with the luggage to carry it up to the 3rd floor from the entrance. Good lucation within the old town of Chur. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. A bit old building but good enough for travelers. Need to go by stairs with luggages but really not border too much.

Ok OK experience
The hotel and the location was good, the only this the common toilet and bathroom. There is only one toilet and one bathroom for all the hotel guests, so you would need to get up early to get ready in order to avoid the rush hour traffic. It was a shock for me, looks like I didn't pay attention to it. The hotel staffs were very friendly and accommodative.
