The staff is very kind and attentive which was appreciated. The hotel is also well located in Chiang Mai - most attractions are within walking distance. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Sleep Mai is a Very Nice place to stay. We were there for 7 days. My girlfriend says the pillows are not comfortable. The property is within walking distance to the Sunday Night Market. The breakfast needs to be changed.

I really like the bathroom in my room. It's clean and the shower door doesn't leak. The only thing that the room is missing is closet space and table space. There were no space to hang the hangers and wet towels. They should install a few more hooks or a closet rod for the hangers. Also, having a wall mounted table below the TV would be nice.

I was extending to stay a little longer in Chiangmai so I stay here again. I love this hotel not only the location where I can go everywhere in Chiangmai also the people who work here. They are so friendly and willing to help you everything like book grab car, some tour for me. Bond and Tip are awesome. They are always putting their smile when see me. The room is ao clean and up to day i stay. I definitely recommend this hotel when you stay in Chiangmai.

This was a great small hotel, as it was conveniently located and clean. Loved the small pool area to cool off at the end of the day. Breakfast was fine too.

This hotel is exceptional nice. What i like was location, staffs snd breakfast. Its close by the Tha Phae Gate just 5 minutes walk. Highly recommended when you stay in Chiangma.

Great location next to the old city. Facility was modern and clean, but not much area at the hotel for outside sitting/ relaxing; the lobby and eating area overlooked the pool. Very convenient for walking excursions.

Decent room for the price and very convenient if you want to stay by the Old City area in Chiang Mai. Staff was also helpful in storing luggage after checking out. The surrounding area is quite noisy in the evening, especially if you're sensitive to sounds. Breakfast is pretty basic, I only had it one of the mornings. The pool is a bit small and I didn't see anyone using it.

The hotel is clean, modern, well located, and fairly priced. That should be enough for a least a 4 star review in most cases but this hotel has some easy to fix quirks that really damage the customer experience. In order of importance, #1 no storage space. You simply get a single luggage stand and 2 pegs in the wall with 2 hangers each. There is a large space under the television in the Studio Mai Double room that would easily accommodate a storage cabinet. Instead, customers have to use the desk as storage rendering the desk useless for working. #2 - the pool. The pool is non-functional. You are in a fishbowl with everyone in the hotel looking at your as it's directly adjacent to the lobby & breakfast area. There is no walkway around the pool and it's only 1.2 meters deeps. #3 - endless signs with endless rules. They have so many posters with rules it's super annoying and clearly ineffective. A few examples, don't throw toilet paper in the toilet, instead put it in a plastic bag and into the garbage. Don't bring durian into the room. Don't smoke. Don't get into the pool if you have exposed legions. Don't climb the wall next to the pool. They even have 3 rules on the show glass telling you not to bang it with a hammer. They make you go to the front desk if you want ear swaps, toothbrush, show cap, etc. Signs with rules upon signs with rules. #4 - useless coffee machine that only gives 2oz of coffee instead of just making real coffee and having it available

Great location and amenities!
I really enjoyed my stay at Sleep Mai! It had all of the amenities I was looking for as a solo traveler on an extended stay. Free breakfast buffet, pool, fridge and safe in the room, clean and in a great location. They also left two new bottled waters in the fridge every day after cleaning the room, which I very much appreciated! The hotel is a short walk from Thapae Gate so you have easy access to the Old City and Sunday Night Market but can escape the crowds and noise at the end of the day since the hotel is on a quiet side street. The staff was very friendly and helpful and booked transportation for me during my stay and sent my laundry out for me (a little overpriced but I didn’t mind because of how convenient it was). I would recommend Sleep Mai to anyone looking for an affordable yet comfortable stay in Chiang Mai!

The only negative have to say is that my room was very hot. Management did offer to move us to another room in which we declined. However, the issue was not addressed the next day by maintenance so we endured another hot day. Otherwise this is a new hotel and the water was hot. The hotel is still n the side street however I felt very safe while there.

Easy relaxed getaway
Generally a good stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. 10-15 mins walk to the night market, and to the old city. One needs to get out of the city to truly enjoy what Chiangmai has to offer.

Absolutely stay here! The perfect hotel for a Chiang Mai trip, whether you are a solo traveller like me, or a family with kids, or a couple looking for a getaway. The hotel is very clean, with a warm and welcoming lobby. I stayed in 3 different rooms during my trip because I spontaneously extended my stay twice, and all three rooms were clean, comfortable, and affordable. The bathrooms are clean, and the showers have good water pressure. Air conditioning works perfectly, beds are very comfortable (especially if you like firmer mattresses), and there is enough space in the room to chill. Location is excellent, you will have no issues walking to any part of the old city. There are great food options available nearby as well. The hotel staff are the best part of the hotel. They truly treat you like family, and will be more than happy to help you with any part of your trip. You can book local excursions through them - skip all the tourist excursion agencies in the city, the hotel already has the best pricing and trips are including pickup and dropoff at the hotel. You can also order laundry service for 90Baht/kg (my clothes came back clean and perfect - recommend!) The hotel also offers breakfast and a pool, both of which I did not try (but I did see many people enjoying it!). Definitely stay here if you can, more than happy with my stay. Whenever I come back to Chiang Mai I will be staying here.

Small updated cozy hotel close to Tha Phae gate. Perfect location to get into old city, Sun night market and also within 10-15 min walk to daily night bazaar and food centers with great variety of food. The 2 queen bedrooms are small and felt crowded. There was a dead cockroach in the door area when we opened our room. The rooms were modern and clean. The area under the pool chairs in the pool had algae. The online pics of the pool show turquoise green water but it was grey-green. The fitness equipment is in the dining area, glad no one was working out while we had breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and being able to eat breakfast there was great. Having tea and coffee available all day was great.
