A homey motel along the main road leading to the Smoky Mountains national park. Location is good. Reception is a little different - through a window. No breakfast but a coffee dispenser available in a porch with some seating. Room clean and cozy.

Bathroom sink was stopped up. Stated hair dryer in room was not one which should have been checked by cleaning crew when previous guest had checked out. Ice machine broken. Did not explain how to order breakfast. Funny smell in room. Not a bad stay but the place could use a little help upon arrival to notify guests of amenities. Enjoyed the area.

I had an unpleasant experience with a staff member in the morning. I was not aware that they had an earlier checkout time than every other hotel I’ve been to. 10 am check out time, if you’re late a woman will come knock on your door with an attitude and let you know she needs to wash your sheets 😂

Photos were deceptive, it is a motel not a lodge or hotel. No streams or wooded area...just a parking lot behind a bank and the post office. If you are just looking for a place to shower and sleep, it is great, but not a vacation destination.

Very nice and comfortable stay! Just overnight but was very welcoming and cozy. Only negative was ice maker was broken and unavailable, and neighbor on one side was a little questionable but not the properties fault. Very good stay and will stay again.

We stayed at this property to fish the opening weekend trout tournament and it was the best experience we’ve had over the past three years fishing in Cherokee. The staff were very friendly, the room was very spacious and clean. Rolling Hills also includes breakfast every morning and it was the most delicious breakfast I’ve had at a hotel. If you stay at this hotel, which I highly recommend you have got to try their breakfast. The young lady that made our breakfast was so friendly and inviting. I can’t say enough about our experience, it was excellent!

The staff was great, parking wasn't because our room was at the bottom and we had motorcycle and unable to park on the steep hill but they let us park it in front of the office under the cameras and that was greatly appreciated! Plenty of shops to look around in, it's just a shame everything closes so early in Cherokee Now. I will definitely stay here again!

Refrigerator didn’t work, staff didn’t answer the desk phone even when calling from the hotel phone multiple times, staff didn’t answer check in window even after ringing bell multiple times, overall negative experience.

The property is conveniently located to the Smoky Mountain. But breakfast is served to you by the window outside and it’s cold in the mornings to eat breakfast outside. The only alternative is to eat in your room by there is no table to eat from for a two person room. Coffee is cold cos it sits outside in the cold. There is nothing good to eat in terms of Food dinner.

Upon arrival 11:30pm check in was super fast and easy. The room is small but we just needed a place to sleep. Everything was clean enough for us. TV could be upgraded but we were there to sight see and weekend getaway not watch tv. Carpet could be updated. Had an old home smell but nothing we couldn’t deal with. Bed was comfortable for us. Not too soft not too hard. Slept great! We didn’t get to have breakfast as we were told it was only from 8-9 am and we weren’t ready in time. Overall I’d stay again. Price was decent and property was quiet. Each room has its own entrance.

No frills - but full of character and comfort
This is not a fancy hotel. Rather it’s reminiscent of the motor lodges that were a part of family vacations in the 60’s and 70’s. Beds are comfortable and room is clean. All rooms are on the ground level. The owners are a personable and treat you like family. There are a number of negative reviews about the breakfast. I suspect this is because most people assume “free breakfast” means open cafeteria/grazing style. The breakfast offered by Rolling Hills is homemade on site. We had the most delicious (and veggie full) omelet with a healthy helping of fruit and a danish on the side. Coffee was delicious and hot. I have stayed at luxury hotels across the country and there are times when the fluffy robes, sauna showers, and bluetooth TVs are my preference. However, when I visit the mountains, my goal is to be out and about exploring the culture and people - and with that in mind, Rolling Hills Lodge does not disappoint.

I was first drawn to the nice breakfast offered. The problem was I didn’t get any. You must order the breakfast between 8-9am, a short window compare to other similar hotels. The room is very close to the road. The nice and lights from the street kept me up all night. The bathroom was clean and looks to be recently renovated.

We were disappointed because the pictures looked nice. The room was small and dark. The bathroom had no heat and no light above the sink. There was no blanket on the bed, just the top sheet and the bedspread. The free breakfast had to be eaten outside as you cannot go into the lobby. You check in through a window.

They say breakfast but all they have is a burrito and they don't put that out till 8 am. Bed frame made lot of noise every time you turn over. Hot water is extremely hot unsafe for children to use

The room was clean. The tv was only analog with poor reception and only a few channels. The breakfast was excellent. Lighting in the room was dim and not enough to read by. The staff was very good. If we had called the property direct we could have saved $20 per night. The deadbolt did not work, only a push button lock.
