Not a 4 star hotel
This is not a 4-Star Hotel! It doesn’t even have a proper Coffee Machine. Rooms are small and the whole house feels cramped. This is an Inn or pension.

Great common room!
Relatively small room, but more than made up for it by a great common room with a Nespresso machine. Great breakfast included.

The room was comfortable and quiet. The location perfect. The room was clean and having a nice robe was a bonus. Breakfast was appetizing and quite good. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that the carpet in the hallway needs to be replaced. It is quite stained.

We stayed at Hotel Whymper twice on either end of our Tour Du Mont Blanc hike. The room was small, but had everything that we needed. We appreciated the amazing breakfast that was available each morning nice and early. While I know this is normal for France, there was no air conditioning and the room was quite warm. No fans were available to cool it down.

Enjoyed everything about the stay except perhaps for its funky location down a tiny street/alleyway near its affiliate, Hotel Faucigny. You check in at Faucigny and are shown to your room in Whymper. The room is a bit weird because you have to lock your door manually when leave the room. And, when you are back inside, you have to lock it from the inside if you want to be sure no one walks in on you! You get used to it, though. Breakfast is at the the Faucigny and is absolutely first class. The staff is great. You can walk to any point in Chamonix within 15 minutes. Multiple restaurants within 5 minutes. Parking is about 20 Euro for 24 hrs at St Michel ...... about 2 minutes away. All told, it's a great place! All told, it's a great place!

The check-in process was slightly different than we are used to, but it worked out just fine. The room was charming and cozy, with a bathtub (a little slim bathtub, but nice regardless!) and a nice balcony. The only issue we had was a spot entering the bathroom that was a bit creaky -- we had to leave by 6:30 am which made even tip-toeing around concerning that our downstairs neighbors may have been awoken by the noise.

Style over substance maybe?
A nice chalet hotel that has been stylishly decorated. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms and although we knew it was on the ground floor we didn’t expect it to have a door onto the car park. Couldn’t have the curtains open or everyone walking past would see in. If you can afford the extra go for the larger rooms on the top floor. Not sure they will have any view though.

Our Standard rooms are located on the ground floor and , as you said, for a little extra you can get one of our Superior rooms on the upper floors with more space. Our best rooms are the 2 Family room on the top floor with a balcony and a Mont-Blanc View. Best regards.

Cute Chalet, great location, nice staff
Chalet was super cute and the staff was so nice. We got there earlier than check in and the staff was very accomodating. Breakfast was delicious and so cute that they offer a delicious cake in the afternoon in the lounge area. Rooms were a little small but we were very comfortable and bathroom was spacious.

Great and welcoming staff. Great amenities, the outdoor jacuzzi in particular. The "living room" with great tea and coffee and cake in the afternoon. Very nice breakfast. Great design everywhere. The only con - our room was very small (number 3), however this was known to us at booking time. It could have been a little more practical though.

In a quiet area right in the middle of the town. The rooms and decor are very modern and really stylish. Extremely friendly staff and would definitely go back.

Romantic in Chamonix
Cute, Cosy, Modern, Clean, New, Well positioned, Romantic... what more can I say? This place was a very pleasant surprise. We normally stay in Heliopic in Chamonix but when we wanted to extend our stay due to good weather, Heliopic didnt have any vacancy so we turned here and glad we did. The Hotel is so well positioned, its 50 meteres from the walking street where you have everything, but its still easily accessible by car and has some free parking. We had an attic room with a skylight and it had the most amazing view. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. There are no pictures of the bathroom on here but it is very nice. The sauna is good but a cold shower would complete it, (although we made do with going outside in the snow) The staff were all delightful and so hospitable. The lounge has a very cool homey/chalet style feel to it (and delicious cake to boot) And to top it all off it was very well priced. We will definitely visit again!

What an absolute gem. This place is like home from home without being too on top of one another. So its great for those who are more private also. Its quiet yet just a 1 minute walk from the town. Patricia is amazing, so so helpful and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful, clean and modern. This place is just lovely! I love that you can relax in the lounge with a coffee by the roaring fire. Not to mention the outdoor hot tub with mountain views. The breakfast is very nice also. I just love it here. I cant wait to come back. I wouldnt stay anywhere else. Thanks again for having us. X
