Do not stay here, select another location! We checked into the hotel for a break away from a very tragic time back home, and we wanted to spoil ourselves a little. I always remembered Shiloh as a pretty solid place to stay from my youth. We also wanted to be lazy so we looked for a place which listed "Room Service" on the page. We were surprised to learn that not only was there no room service, there wasn't anything. There was no pool, no laundry, no hot tub, there was no food on site, anywhere. The buildings have been standing for over seventy years, we learned, and instead of renovating them and doing the work necessary to bring them up to date with the rest of the hotels on the beach, they look like they're just doing the bare minimum just to hold them together to save on costs. The room smelled badly when we entered, there were no fans in the restroom, so when you showered the room just stayed steamy, and when you went to the restroom you had to fill the room with an air freshener and close the door. There was no padding under the carpets, simply bare carpet covering uneven seventy year old boards. The phone and the thermostat were very old and dated, they were also yellow in color, stained by nicotine from the days in the 90's or earlier when Shiloh did allow smoking, and yet still being used to this day! We were apparently lucky, however, even to have a phone, because I was told many of the rooms do not have phones because they broke.

The ocean view room had an amazing view. The staff was friendly. Why I will never go back: thr parking is trash if you have a car. I tried every angle leaving the parking garage and each time hardcore dragged the bottom of car. Horrible! SUV or truck you'll be ok. I booked for the pool which is NOTHING like the pics. Very small and dingy. Seating in the pool area consisted of 3 plastic chairs. This hotel is over priced for the experience.

I dont see this hotel lasting much longer. Absolutely filthy. Sometimes the pool is open. Sometimes its not. Extremely outdated. The furniture is disgusting and stained and broken. It has a beautiful view but the windows are so dirty you cant hardly see out of them. We were treated like thieves when we asked for 2 more towels when only given 2 for our party of 4. We were never given the rollaway bed we requested. Had to buy our own toiletpaper due to the front desk person acting like everything was a huge inconvenience. Upon check in we were given a piece of paper saying they dont have maid service at this time. No lock on the bathroom door. Parking garage is awful. Dont even attempt it unless you have a truck. My sedan got stuck and bottomed out on the entrance as its extremely high in the middle. I could go on and on. Its dirty, unkept, outdated, and clearly closing sooner than later. Spend the few extra dollars and stay literally anywhere else.

Checked into our room which was a sauna. Supposedly someone was going to go check it out, but no one came after an hour. I requested a new room and the front desk lady was nice enough to switch rooms for me. The rooms are so outdated and the whole place smells so old and dirty. The furniture in the room was stained and gross. The garbage cans were filthy. The lobby in building C was an ice box. That place needs some major updating. Only the staff being friendly was the good about the shilo. Not worth the price at all and I had two rooms!

Right on the ocean. Small big box T.V. fridge old ran down. Hair dryer keep tripping the gfci. Lights would flicker. TV would not keep working. Told management. The said they would get someone to look at the hair dryer. the tv was due to the storm , dish needed clean. Suprise the TV worked the next day an the hairdryer worked. The room was musty smelling. The shilo reall needs some updating.

Would not recommend. Check in was fine, got to room & bathroom door handle was broke, big portion of carpet had been cut up and just layed back down. No tv remote, called the front desk they brought up a remote but it didnt matter someone had cut wires to the tv. Went back to front desk asked for another room, was told they were full. Said ok we'll just check out no problem. We found another hotel. Instead of that being the end, Dan at the front desk charged my card for a second time. When i called i was told he just did what his boss said. So now we have to go back this morning to talk to a manager.

We enjoy staying at the Shiloh hotel because of the price, but it is definitely showing its age. Pretty rough, but still the best view in town. The restaurant on the main floor has been closed for the last couple of years, which is kind of creepy when you walk by. There aren’t a lot of nicities at this place but again it’s all about the view. Oh, and the girl that checked us in was amazing. I think her name was Shelley.

Because of the weather, the room was very cold, but we were not expecting snow! The views were amazing and it was convenient to everything. The pool was under remodel and the restaurant wasn't open.

It was so quiet! Loved just skund of ocean. Room warm, and appointed with comfortable furniture and kitchen/ dining item so we could stzy in! The lack of people and stsying in bldg separate from check in was a little different. If i was on my own, as a women, i would feel uneasy about seeming lack of security . But there was no issues .

Our stay was really enjoyable as our room was in a convenient location, and we had an amazing view. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, even though the hotel was very clean, it was in much need of fixing up. There was rust on the heater, the bathroom tile was cracked, the tub faucet was finicky, and the numbers were rubbed off of the thermostat, so we had to adjust the temperature by trial and error. All that said, those things didn't bother us, and it was such a treat to sit and drink our morning coffee while watching the waves come in.

Property was in disrepair. Restaurant was vacant. Looks like it is getting ready to close. Definitely not a 3 star place. The positive is it has a great view of the ocean and the sheets were clean. Property has not maintained.heat inadequate.

There was only 1 other vehicle in the basement parking which indicated this was an unpopular hotel. No restaurant as advertised. We had no hot water and the staff was no help upon informing them. Terrible hotel.

Close to the beach, nice veiw, the room was clean and adequate. If you are on a budget it is not a bad place to stay. The Hotel is on the older side and hasn't been kept up. The restaurant has been closed for over three years, we had no hot water to take a shower, property needs some maintenace, could use some better coffee.
