Ironically, for a place named Pleasant Night, I did not have a pleasant night. The room smelled terrible. I couldn’t figure out what the smell was, but it was so foul that I couldn’t sleep most of the night. It smelled toxic to me so much that I almost went to sleep in my car. In the morning, I saw a moth ball in a corner of the bathroom, so that must have been where the smell was coming from. I can’t stand the smell of mothballs and felt like I was breathing toxic fumes all night.
The bedspreads were stained, but the sheets seemed clean. The carpet was old and in disrepair with stains, but that seemed trivial compared to the smell.
The Expedia app said this location offers breakfast, but when I got there, they did not.
I also didn’t understand the credit card payment slip they were asking me to sign for payment when I had already paid through Expedia. I felt like I was being charged additional expenses to stay there.
I was still grateful to have a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in, but currently I can’t recommend this hotel.
