Beautiful location, very friendly staff and delicious breakfasts! The front porch was fabulous, the breakfasts delicious and we felt right at home. The assistant inn keeper, Nancy was so sweet, we will definately be back for another stay!

Lovely Victorian B&B within walking distance of the beach and shops. Private parking lot. Room was very comfortable with private bath. Fresh home cooked breakfast every morning. Centrally located but quiet. Traditional Victorian style with modern conveniences. We will definitely return.

Great stay at The Dormer House! Beautiful property, awesome rooms. Really just a special place to stay. Great breakfast. Easy free parking. Great quiet location, walk to everything. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay. My wife is gluten intolerant so every morning they made her an egg breakfast with home fries and bacon. Very accommodating!

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. For a 125 year old house, it’s in very good shape. Both exterior and interior were nicely decorated for the holidays. Our room had noticeable peeling plaster walls and a cracked window but that didn’t inhibit a good night’s sleep. Towels could be upgraded and softer. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious!

First time visiting Cape May, Booked a few days before the christmas parade weekend without any issue. My girlfriend and I own a home from around the same time period as the dormer house and we have always liked to see the old architectural elements and the Dormer House has plenty - it has many of the original details still preserved in the common areas. Rooms are fine for the age of the building, most (all?) have their own private shower+restroom. Bed was pretty comfortable, and I believe it was recently replaced. They cook the breakfast to order, and it was delicious both days we stayed. The staff was very helpful throughout, Alose close enough to walk to the mall and other shops/ foods
FIreplace in the common area, decorated for christmas.
Antique tea cups to enjoy the tea and cookies that they leave out after 3pm.

The property is well maintained, clean and the staff were outstanding. If you want a quiet location within walking distance to the beach and shops this is it. Breakfast is also fantastic and prepared once you are I’m ready, not in advance. A

We loved our stay at the Dormer house. The manager did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The Victorian house has a lot of character. Our bedroom was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was great (strong hot coffee), and the area is so quiet and beautiful. It's just a few walking minute from the center of town with lots of choices for restaurants.

The room is big and clean. Feel safe to walk around the area. Breakfast is nice. Parking is free and easy. But the property facilities are old that could use some remodeling to improve overall conditions.

Lovely home with nice appointments, delicious breakfasts and cozy & comfortable. Our only concern was the lack of blinds or dark curtains in the bathroom of our room, which left us feeling a bit “over-exposed” when it was dark outside.

The (apparently) lone staff person was exceptional. She cooked incredible breakfasts, cleaned during the day, kept the place spotless, made sure we had clean towels and adequate supplies, and even ran across the street to fetch honey for a guest when they ran out while serving breakfast. Above and beyond the call in all respects. I am sory we did not get her name.

The breakfasts were delicious. The innkeeper did not introduce herself to us, nor ask us our names, even though we requested to speak with her about dried urine that was on the bowl under the toilet seat. The room we stayed in was somewhat in disrepair- the small sink was pulling away from the wall, and had excessive caulk applied in an attempt to conceal the large gap. There was also a large gap where an outlet cover was not flush with the wall. Additionally, there were large cracks in the bathroom floor tiles with movement when walked upon. I realize this is an old home, but feel some of the profit from the apparent steady flow of guests should be put back into the upkeep of the home to optimize the experience for guests.
