Property manager Complained about late check in, even though we noted on the Wotif booking. He then complained that we didn’t book direct and noted how much money we lost on arrival. Several things in the apartment didn’t work. Toilet leaked and would refill constantly. Aircon in lounge room rattled soo much we couldn’t use. There was nothing in the apartment to clean, had to use a towel to clean the floor after being at the beach. Virtually no toiletries were provided: 1 roll toilet tissue, some shampoo and 2 bars of soap. A bit rich for the price. Kitchen had no oven, toaster didn’t work, no overhead extraction fan, no frying pan. Think they should revise their star rating and prices. Very disappointing considering how often I use this website for work. Please review NB

Lovely quiet complex. Spacious rooms. Pool and outdoor spa. 30 minutes walk to restaurants and shopping and marina for reef activities.

The manager was rude and the unit old and dirty. The double bed mattress had caved in on on side, the bathroom was mouldy (painted over) and the only ventilation was the window over the bath/shower which allowed the neighbours to see you shower. The balcony was FILTHY. the tiles in the kitchen were lifting. Was not allowed to check in until 2:30 even though the owner knew we arrived early morning and their website states a 1:30pm check in. Not once we're we told o enjoy our stay. Even upon checkout we were not asked how our stay was. Would not recommend to anyone. Certainly not 4 stars as website says.

when rooms arent ready you cant checkin, we had to rush the room to get you checked in, maybe that is why it was a bit dirty? if you didnt complain as much we might have said more stuff to you to make you feel more welcome. tiles lift, fact of building and construction, they are fixed now, only just happened prior to your stay.

All that's required, no frills.
Check in was picking up keys in an envelope left outside reception window. Office hours appear to be limited, however, room was spacious and well appointed. Check out was dropping keys into locked box. Note that rooms aren't cleaned daily.

Excellent apartment accomodation
Spacious, private, walkable to shop and promenade. Great kitchen and laundry, seperate toilet, big balcony, lots of foxtel channels. Good value. Staff acted quickly with problem.

Size of the appartments and location was good. I believe that the apartment needed to be clean during the week. The towels were not change. Usually that is happening in the other similar places.

I don't feel the floors had been cleaned properly (mopping), the unit for it's size should have an oven but it doesn't. There was not enough cleaning products for the bathroom. There ws not a cleaning cloth for the dishes.

There was never a member of staff to contact. They never answered the phone and there was never a person in the office. We stayed several days and never saw a staff member. The AC vents desperately need to be cleaned and while it wasn't in terrible condition it did not seem like anyone was putting in any effort in upkeep.

We booked this accommodation for a family of 4 for 10 days. We were given the unit at the front of the complex on the ground level which was near the security gate (which didnt work). The balcony fronted onto the street and was dirty. Full of leaves. The dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen, told reception about it and they came into the unit 3 times with us not being notified, however the dishwasher was replaced quickly. Some general communication would improve that. Unit was a little small for a family however was still ok. Very noisy with main bedroom being on the front near the road. We had towels stolen that were drying on the balcony. If i was to stay i would be asking for a unit on the next floors up at the back of the complex. Units need some maintenance Positives....very close to the esplanade within walking distance to playgrounds etc. 5 min drive to sporting fields. Close to shops. About 1.5km to lagoon.

Hello, We apologise for the dishwasher leak but did attend to the issue with the urgency and had it replaced for you within 24 hours. The unit size is displayed on our advertising and on our booking confirmation we do mention about stairs and floor levels, if you did not want a ground floor we would have noted that and given you an alternate apartment. The 2-bedroom apartment has a great layout and is very private. It has free wi-fi, full laundry and most things expected in a kitchenette. It is close to the airport so we could hear planes during certain hours but it wasn't a big issue for us. We couldn't work out where the pool was and there was no sign to indicate. The BBQ area is amazingly well-stocked with everything such as BBQ utensils, oil, sauces etc - haven't seen anything like it! The only downside was that reception was not manned most of the time, therefore we couldn't ask questions about tours etc unless we contacted a phone number. Highly recommended.

Good location, spacious apartment, clean and well appointed. The only problem was that for most of the time spent there, there was no Internet service. This was because of a fault with the local service provider, and not the fault of the property, but if the service is unreliable maybe there should be a secondary backup service that could be made available to guests if necessary.

Had a great time staying here. Bit of a walk from the city centre but that didn’t really bother us. Key was there on our arrival so didn’t have to wait to check in and they let us check out a little bit later too which was great help.Would definetly come back to stay

Not 4 star. Very disappointing
Dated. Small bedrooms. Only one bathroom for a family of four which may be o k for one night but not for 4 nights. Worst thing was the shower which was in the bath with a very small piece of glass to prevent water going on the floor. The floor got saturated every time the shower was used. Also after 2 showers we ran out of hot water so last 2 had to have barely luke warm showers. The apartment was not clean when we arrived with several lights not working. It was explained that new cleaners were the issue and the lights were replaced. The "comfortable patio" was filthy and uninviting so we never used it. If we wanted to speak to anyone we had to phone them as there never seemed to be anyone at reception. As a 'For Sale' sign was outside I expect the owners have given up. It was bad value for money.

Good sized aprtments for a family of 4. Lots of trees in the compound, giving the place a nice tropical feel, especially when it was raining. Situated 3 km from the City Center, about 10-12$ by taxi.

The pool was a hit with the kids! Room was comfortable and there were all the comforts of a home away from home. Myra was so nice and very accomodating especially with the later check out. Will definitely return again :)

We loved the warm, friendly environment of City Plazza Apartments. A clean, spacious apartment that worked well for us. The fact that we arrived hours before check in and the team had our apartment ready early for us spoke volumes! A Great cafe 5 mins walk away too!!

Very pleasant stay
Clean, quite and comfortable apartment. Well appointed with a nice pool/spa and BBQ area. Short walk to boardwalk. Iga handy and 3kms to botanical gardens. Be aware no lift to upper levels so need to be fit enough to climb stairs. Really enjoyed our stay especially breakfast on the balcony after cold winter in the ACT.

A spacious 2 bedroom apartment that suited our family. Enough kitchen equipment to cook simple meals. Close to the beach and playground for little ones. A bit too far to walk to city centre with young kids so a few taxi rides for us. Nice and quiet spot and I would consider staying there again.

No proper blankets in the rooms...Cairns is too warm to sleep without the AirCon on and too cold with it - not ideal for couples with varying heat/cold tolerances. Had to request blankets only to be given flimsy cotton sheets.
