We were very pleased with Tarongeta. Having never visited Cadaques before we weren’t sure of the location but chose it based on reviews. It did not disappoint. The location is very close to where you enter the town. There is also free parking which is rare find and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, the staff was wonderful and the breakfast was very good. Highly recommend!

This Hotel wasn’t as pictures showed! It was very nice BUT the balcony wasn’t a balcony. It did NOT view the water, (the picture was false advertising!) and the balcony wasn’t one you could sit on as it was 2 inches wide. I think a refund would be appropriate in this case. That said though it was otherwise very comfortable and best breakfast. The staff at breakfast were very nice! We loved Cadeques and especially the restaurant Pizza place on the far right in the first corner. There were quite a few overlooking the square. Ask for the one Domino operates for her Dad.

The room was nice and cosy, the staff friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, we could do everything by walking. A big plus for the free parking which enabled us to avoid the queues for the city parking. Great stay!

Wonderful stay at a reasonable price!
I really enjoyed this hotel! The staff were friendly upon check-in, the room was clean, and overall everything was comfortable. They had one of the best bathrooms I’ve used in reasonably priced hotels in Europe. I enjoyed the little terrace for some fresh air and found the beds pretty comfortable. It was a beautiful 5-10 minute walk to the waterfront (do yourself a favor and walk to the church first for incredible views of the town). I would definitely stay again!

Great Location and Clean
The hotel is in a great location as it’s minutes from the downtown area and tourist sites but far enough away to be very quiet. There is parking in the rear of the building. The room was on the smaller side but it was well planned and the amenities were able to be included. The bed was comfortable and the staff were pleasant. All in all a good choice for a short stay.

Clean, modern, well priced and friendly staff!
We went during the restaurant closure in France and a little off season so it was tricky to get a view of how things would be in a different time. However the hotel served us dinner in our room, and it was excellent, the room was really clean and modern, the view was lovely and the staff very friendly. The town seemed quaint but clearly quite quite. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay that’s clean, functional and very affordable.

Great value - super clean and modern
This hotel is new and therefore super clean and modern. There isn’t much of a view but you can walk everywhere. Staff were really friendly. For the cost this hotel was a real hit! I would certainly book again.

A very comfortable stay
Apart from the initial surprise at check in when we were told that we weren’t on the booking list everything was really good. Room was spacious with semi open plan wet room. It seemed newly decorated & was spotlessly clean. Access to small but pleasant inner courtyard. Private car park to rear of hotel. Great position near main street & just a few minutes walk to beach. Helpful friendly staff. We would stay again if we are lucky enough to visit Cadaqués again.

Nice hotel, 5 minute walk to old centre and beach
Very clean and beautiful room with air condition. Would have been nice to have an option to leave room key at reception. Breakfast was Ok, but for the price (11 Euro) there was limited fresh fruit and you have to pay extra if you like a cafe con leche or cappuccino . Some staff weren’t very friendly.

I was nervous when you arrived because the outside of the building isn't great, but the rooms are so much better. The beds aren't great, but none of the beds we slept in in Spain were. Overall, the price was great and the hotel was pretty good. I'd stay there again.

Nicely renovated room in old looking hotel within a short walk to both beach and old quarter of town Near to shops and restaurants and beach Staff cordial but patchy English Room lacked safe and fridge but otherwise I have no trouble recommending the hotel Free parking behind was plentiful but meant you had to lug your suitcase 50metres to reception over gravel unsealed road

Unsafe Hotel
I walked out of this hotel. It is unsafe. There is no lighting in the hall to the elevators. The room was not secure or locked unless you key d the deadbolt from within the room - a gross safety violation. The three lights in the room wee wires plugged into electrical sockets and hung over be boasts or a hook of the so- called desk- a slab orphans wood nailed to the wall. The ends of the plugged in cords has a low wattage bulb with a plastic cone around it. A fire hazard to say the least. Their website portrays this's hotel as a half a block form the beach. No a quarter of a mile would be more accurate. It is located at the first turn off when entering the town with no sign. Took me an hour to find it. The stall person was waisted. Do not stay here - it is not safe.

Great hotel 5 min walk from central Cadaquès
Hotel Tarongeta was a perfect, sweet little hotel just minutes walk to the beach and all the main attractions of Cadaqués. The room was clean and bright with modern amenities, free wifi, and comfortable beds. The staff was kind and helpful. The area was quiet, but just a short walk to the nightlife activities. We highly recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway from Barcelona or a longer stay. We were able to park for free and easily drive 15 minutes to Port Lligat and 30 minutes to Cap De Creus. Very central and easy to get anywhere. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed in a superior room which turned out to be small, basic and sparsely furnished. Floors were grubby and there was a smell of drains in the bathroom. Pleased to be only staying for one night. The only real redeeming feature is the free parking.

This modern-looking hotel with Ikea-looking furnishings was very quiet during our visit. The front desk staff were nice, and the room was clean. The hotel is a short walk down to the waterfront and free parking was available on site.

I enjoyed the stay.
The room and bathroom was more spacious than expected. It's bright and clean. Air conditioning worked perfectly. I went during a off season so overall it was quiet with less guests. Located right next to the bus station, 5-10minutes walk to the beach, 20 minutes walk to Dali house.

We booked a double bed but were given two twin beds put together- Oh well. Our room was also right next to the smoking patio so we couldn't leave the window open due to cigarette smell. Lady at reception spoke no English- we got by on our (very poor) Spanish. Location was good and there was a private parking lot. The town is extremely charming and navigable by foot from the hotel.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Tarongeta. The location was great, the room small but clean. The main problem was that it was very hot and the air conditioning in the hotel was not operating. It was very uncomfortable and sleep did not come easily. On the second night, we requested a fan which was provided. This helped slightly. There was only one person at the desk who spoke english and I only saw her one time. It was difficult to communicate.

Our room was clean but there is not much noise insulation between rooms and hallways so if you are a light sleeper, this could be a problem. The location is fine because the town is so small that you are never far away from anything. There is parking there which is a plus and the wifi works well. The shower-head holder was broken in our room so we had to hold the shower sprayer to shower.

Great hotel - a little out of the way
This was a lovely experience. The receptionist helped me arrange a booking for Casa Dali the next day, and assisted with showing me the layout of the area - very nice. Rooms were large and clean. The location was not the best - a five minute walk to the beach, rather than ON the beach - but it was close to the bus station, which is convenient if you come in by bus. Very good value.

very disappointed with the hotel - not worth the money at all. Trying to find some positives - good location, walking distance to the beaches & Port Lligiat; quiet, nice view from the terrace, the owner Verronica was nice and helpful. But the negatives prevail for me ---- the service provided is not worth the money at all: 1) breakfast is not included 2) the bed was really small and not comfortable 3) elevator did not work 4) THEY CHARGE FOR THE USE OF THE PHONE IN THE ROOM. 7 EURO????? WHO DOES THAT???? would recommend to stay there only as your last option (thats what happened to me, btw).

The Tarongeta was a very nice hotel. We did not expect such quality for a 2 star hotel. The rooms were a nice size, there was an elevator, the location was perfect (close to sights, restaurants, shopping), and the service was excellent. We stayed only 1 night on our way to France but were very pleased with the hotel. We have stayed in mostly 3 star hotels some of which were not as nice as the Tarongeta. The breakfast was a good value for the money. offering juice, fruit, and local breakfast breads as well as cereal. A very good choice for any type of traveler. We didn't understand why this hotel was rated only 2 stars. We travel to Europe 4 times a year and this hotel far exceeded our expectations!!
