"Right on the beach! Our room had a view of the ocean, too. It wasn't too busy when we were there so they upgraded us to a deluxe room! Very nice people work here! "WOW just wow!!!! We loved our stay at this small boutique hotel. Beautiful and wonderful staff. We traveled with our 1.5 year son and it was perfect. We will recommend it to all who are looking for a slice of paradise. Good food, amazing ice cream and smoothies nice decorated and clean rooms/bungalows, stunning pool area, helpfull staff my husband went on a fishing trip planned by staff. Not much to do in the area but it is close to more lively Paje. But to be honest we loved hanging on the sun...

"Nice if you like solitude and being in nature, and don't mind "rustic". Big open air villas surrounded by trees (even a few baobabs), which are frequent by monkeys (including red colobus). Not so nice if you are used to excellence and attention to detail in everything. Resort is in need of TLC at a minimum or renovation at a maximum to make it worth the price. All of the cushions are either worn out or torn with the cotton pocking out or zippers not closing... I would not recommend booking any...

"We had a lovely family bungalow for our 3 night stay and this hotel is in a good location. Donna the masseuse was excellent, and the staff were all very welcoming. The only downside was the restaurant had limited vegetarian options for our daughter and the lighting in the evening didn't make it feel cosy so we ate elsewhere. The Kuza cave is only around 20 minutes walk away and well worth a visit."

"Is a basic beachhut set up. Basic huts set a few mins walk back from beach. Cheap and good option. Rooms are basic and functional but low end as to be expected at this price. Lively bar, more of a independent traveller vibe than many Zanzibar resorts. Food in restaurant was quite fine."

"We had a very relaxing stay for a week at twisted palms. They owners and staff were amazing! Very attentive and friendly. The food was very good. We tried the Bellevue down the way one night. Compared to the twisted palms, the food was overpriced and very small portions. We had a beachfront bungalow and it was nice being right up front to hear and see the ocean. Very nice pool also. Made friends there that we will stay in touch with."

"We stayed here for 7 nights and paid £1102 for this, which was not good value for money. The staff are all incredibly friendly and amenable. However, the bungalows are tired and run-down, the door handle was nearly coming off to our room, the taps are severely lime-scaled and wall switches with holes in them? We had to ask for hand soap, toilet roll and we had to keep asking for a towel. The towels and bedding were stained. There is no mattress protector. The breakfast was awful; stale cereal...

"Tuna Lodge in realtà è inaccessibile. Al mio arrivo il "manager" mi spiega che c'è un'altra lodge della stessa proprietà poco distante, "Caveman Lodge" e quindi mi sistemerà lì. Il mio soggiorno non è stato male, Caveman Lodge è molto caratteristica, tetto e porta di paglia, io ero al piano rialzato e per accedervi una scaletta di legno (per portare il bagaglio mi hanno aiutata!) avevo un bel terrazzino con divanetto e tavolino....non go avuto problemi ma sarebbe giusto un aggiornamento!!!!"
