Simple rooms, but rudimentary comfort.
Hotel is clean, well located, but really very rudimentary. No real bathroom, shower and sink are directly in the room. Airconditioning was not very effective, it was really hot in the room.

The hotel was pleasant enough. Check in was easy and the room was very clean. However there wasn’t a separate room for the bathroom - the shower was in the main room with a small cupboard (that has no lock on) for the toilet. I’d feel a bit uneasy about it if I were staying with a friend or colleague.

A bit far from Lausanne but if you have a car, it's OK. Some chain eateries within walking distance. Sound proofing was not so good but OK. Room was comfortable enough given the hotel price.

The only difficulty for my son and I was the shower situation. One of us would have to leave the room so the other could shower. Best if they could include the shower behind a wall and not open to the room.

Very good value for the money
Clean and comfortable, everything is in perfect conditions. Easy check-in check-out experience. Staff is friendly. The size of the room os a bit on the small side. The shower in the room so you might have some privacy issues depending who you travel with. But hey, for the price you pay, it is an excellent deal.

I like the clean simple room with a comfortable bed for a night's rest while passing through. I've stayed at Ibis before, and they always accept my dog, however, the pet fee in Switzerland was much higher- beware 20 euro! The price is really good for the area. Everything in the room works well. I love the modern lighting! I didn't get breakfast, as I'm a light eater in the morning. The room was compact, modern, & interesting, with a very small TV. The neighborhood is part housing, part business, near a highway, with an easy place to walk my dog. When you arrive, the paragon lot has a bar across it. There's a flashing light on the button you must push to enter, and it has a picture of a ticket on it, which was confusing. It looks like you should already have a ticket, so I parked outside and went to the office, and the guy gave me a ticket to open the bar. The clerk seemed to think it was funny, or that I was not so smart. (Ha Ha) In a foreign land, with many confusions, that was no big deal. When I left, I noticed room 733 has a unique entry way, with Middle Eastern decor, even exotic looking rugs outside it. Perhaps that room is special for some guests. The rest of the place is quite bland, so it was interesting to see some cultural preference for one room on the top floor.

Nice hotel, courteous staff, but AC not working
Got a good deal compared to other similar hotels in Lausanne, staff are courteous and friendly. Well connected to other places in Lausanne through bus (right outside) and train (10-15 min walk to Bussigny station). Only issue was that the AC was not working in the room allotted, had to open the windows after a while but endured noise of the traffic outside (even at late hours) which gave me an headache. Complained to the Reception, but they couldn't get it fixed since it was a weekend and all their other rooms were occupied apparently. Finally, got an alternate room after the second night (stayed for 6 nights). Here also the AC was not working so well, but atleast we could keep the window open as the room was not facing the road. Overall, I would suggest that they check the AC on all their rooms. They shouldn't rely on complaints from customers, not very professional. I would have also expected some discount for the hardship that I went through, but perhaps that is too much to expect from this budget hotel.

Budget hotel but can do better than this
The location is a bit far from center. The toilet is really needed handle and lock the door and the showroom is need more private, not just a glass partition for family room or triple room. Car park fee for 1 day at 6 cf, not free parking. Cleanliness is fine.

30+ Minute Bus Ride from Lausanne
It was a standard Ibis Budget with no complaints about the room just the location. It was a 30 minute bus ride or a bus than train ride to get anywhere.

No frills hotel where cleaners barg into room!!
Last minute booking as cheaper option than heading further to Geneva. Pricey for what it was - the most basic Ibis Budget I've stayed in with a see through shower in the middle of the room! We were unfortunately woken at 8am by the cleaner barging into our room without even knocking - obviously I shouted and she departed but when I complained at receiption on checkout housekeeping denied! Checkout was 12 noon so we were entitled to be in that room a further 4 hours! Car parking was also chargeable and it was a basic private hotel car park off a main road. Not great but ok if looking for a nights sleep no frills!

Competitive pricing, clean. Compact room.
Clean room, good service at front desk, but the room is very compact. A small sink in the middle, with a mirror, and the toilet is a stall rather than a private bathroom. All well designed, but just be aware. Parking available for 6CHF. A good restaurant is nearby, “au premier étage” - good Italian food.

Room too small, no space for anything. There a stair in the middle of the room, I had a ponch in my foot one nignt. The heat doesn't work. No restaurant or room service so you need to go eaten in the nigth.

OK room but inconsisten Internet and tight parking
My first problem was finding the entrance to the parking lot. I entered the lots of three neighboring buildings first. Then I walked around to see where I needed to go. It turns out, I needed to get a ticket from reception before I could get into the hotel's lot. The lot was nearly full and my car would not fit into their garage. The room was a little odd. There was a single bed above the queen bed. The sink was in the room next to the shower, which you entered from the room. Only the toilet was in a separate room. The plugs in the room were not consistent. I could only plug my computer into the plug by the TV. My adapter, which worked in Italy, wouldn't fit the plug near the desk. There was no plug by the sink to plug in a shaver.although there was one just outside the door to the toilet, which also had the plug I don't have an adapter for. It's possible that plug is the standard in Switzerland and I just need another adapter. When I first tried the Internet the speed was terrible but later in the night and the next morning it was pretty good.

Nice clean place
I liked the place very much. It has a parking, but they charge 5 dollars a day. The room is pretty clean and accurate to the photos (the rooms feel slightly bigger in the photos) The staff were nice, and check in and check out were very easy. They also give us transportation tickets for the time of our stay. We had a car, but I suppose they worked with metro and buses. The bath and toilet cabins are not exactly private. They are small kiosks in the corner of the room, separated by thin wooden and glass walls. You may not feel comfortable sharing the room with someone not intimate.

Good experience. I would stay again because the front desk and breakfast staff were great and the price was very reasonable. Overall the room was clean and tidy. This is a unique room and is clearly designed on a budget. For those expecting more for their money, this hotel is not a great value. Overall, I much preferred my stay at Hotel Du Marche in Lausanne center, which was in a much nicer area for less money.

Die Zimmer besser gesagt Zellen sind so klein. Das Waschbecken erinnert an eine Flugzeug Toilette. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer stark befahrenen Kreuzung. Der Lärm ist in der Zelle zu hören.

Es tut mir leid zu hören, dass Sie mit den Unterkünften und der Lage des Hotels unzufrieden sind. Es klingt wirklich frustrierend, in einem Raum zu sein, der nicht Ihren Erwartungen entspricht und von Straßenlärm beeinträchtigt wird. Es könnte hilfreich sein, Ihre Bedenken und Anliegen direkt mit dem Hotelpersonal zu besprechen, um möglicherweise eine Lösung zu finden oder eine andere Unterkunft zu finden, die besser zu Ihren Bedürfnissen passt.
