We have been to Buenos Aires over eight times and have stayed and multiple hotels around the city, therefore I believe to have a good point of reference. This is without a doubt the best hotel in Buenos Aires! The rooms although on the small side, are perfectly decorated in a classic style. The staff is phenomenal: they greeted us by our names (how do they do it!), knew that we had two reservation one week apart, offered us to leave things at the hotel to reduce our load while traveling around the country since we were staying there our last night before leaving the country, and on and on. The staff is just superb. We also ate at their restaurant and its a french culinary delight and highly recommended also. I will look no further....this is where I will always stay in Buenos Aires and look forward to my next visit!

Luxury hotel with superb customer service
Early morning arrival was no problem, with an early check-in easily facilitated, including a hot drink in the breakfast restaurant while bags were taken to the room. Very comfortable spacious and well presented room with all of the amenities required. The bathroom was well designed with a bathtub and seperate shower including a rain head. Maria at concierge was amazing! Wonderfully friendly and extremely helpful with planning day activities, with a great knowledge of options available and which tour operator to best consider. All communications were in English with no problems at all. A highly recommended hotel in a secure and convenient location.

This is such a beautiful hotel. We stayed in a junior suite on the 11th floor. So some views and lots of light coming in to the room. The king size bed was the softest we'd slept in. And a lovely large room. We ordered room service on the first night which was ok. My club sandwich was delicious but my husband got a dry hamburger with no sauces to add. And the chicken Caesar salad was just green leaves with croutons and a dressing. Considering it wasn't cheap that was a bit disappointing. I will say however when there were mistakes with the room services charges at checkout (we ordered twice during our stay) they rectified the issue immediately and were very good about it. The breakfast buffet was really lovely. With lots of fresh juices, fruit, yoghurt, beautiful cheeses, delicious breads, a hot buffet choice, hot meal from the menu and fresh espresso coffees on order. The staff at breakfast were hit and miss. Some very friendly and then some were quite rude and even ignored us on one occasion. We felt at times they wanted us out even when the restaurant was very quiet. There were road works out the front which we didn't know about but it really didn't affect our stay. The hotel is in a residential area and each room has very heavy doors so it was incredibly quiet. It's not a fantastic location for restaurants and cafes because of where it is but the hotel has it's own restaurant and cafe.

Not a five star
The Sofitel lobby, bar, and restaurant are all five star but surprisingly the rooms are not even close. The hallways and rooms are 3.5 star at best. Hallways are beat up and dirty. Rooms are very tired and in need of updating. There is an old musty smell that permeates the room, most likely coming from the old drapes, upholstered furniture, and stained carpet. I was very disappointed. While the location is great, there are many other hotels in the area from which to choose.

Great Stay
Very nice hotel in a very good neighborhood. The only reason for the Pleasing review of hotel condition was the need for cleaning of room carpetting. This was noticed by all in our party regarding rooms. Otherwise, what a great place with excellent staff. We enjoyed the Biblioteca bar very much for coffee, cocktails, and light fare. Concierage, Front Desk, Bellmen and Room Attendants also top-notch.

Great Hotel Well Situated With European Flair
Great location on quiet residential street walking distance to park, some shops, restaurants. Lovely room and common areas done in an elegant European style while still providing modern conveniences including great internet. Hugely helpful and firendly staff. Nice bar. Excellent included breakfast although didn't get to otherwise eat at the restaurant (menu was interesting). Overall couldn't ask for anything better at the price which we found very reasonable for this class of hotel. Stayed 3 nights before a cruise.

Top customer service...mid level security...
Great location with amazing service. You can tell that the staff actually cares and strives for the best. The security is something that could be much, much, much better. My key was always demagnetized and it only took handing it to them my room number to have it reprogrammed. That didn't give me a ton of confidence that anyone else could enter my rooms...

My wife and I spent a few days of our honeymoon here and loved it.The bar in the lobby served a delicious variety of food and local South American wines until midnight. The staff at the front desk and concierge were also incredibly lovely, knowledgeable and helpful in making our time in Buenos Aires and enjoyable one.

Excellent place to stay in BA
The room was large, with modern styling, very comodious bathroom.all amenities are new and in great shape. The bed is large and very comfortable. WI-FI with good speed. And the staff-outstanding. Their recommendations for restaurants to eat and tango shows were great! The staff is what makes Sofitel Buenos Aires to stand out among other luxury brands. We will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel and exceptional staff.
Having stayed at the Sofitel in Montreal, Canada and New York, USA - the property in Buenos Aires certainly lived up to expectations. The location is perfect for walking around the downtown and for getting onto the subway. The rooms are elegantly decorated and extremely comfortable. There were more stains in the carpet of our room than I was really comfortable with, however I did my best not to let that impact my enjoyment of the hotel and city.

Good location
This is semi-luxury hotel in good location to walking distances to some major attractions. Room is very clean. we had Junior suite which is a room with bed and added small table and love seat. Regular room would have been quite small. we booked this hotel based on reviews for location. Hotel is very friendly and especially concierge people really helped for all information. Main problem we had was the hotel key which is card with metal strip. Most of times it did not work and we had to go back to front to get a new one. Also in the business office, printer did not print and 2nd computer did not work. Breakfast was minimal with only 2 hot dishes but had other basics. Location is good but you have to walk 15 to 30 min to get to sightseeing places.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel Buenos Aires. The hotel is on a quiet street, in a very safe area. The staff are excellent- great service and very welcoming. The restaurant and cafe in the hotel are both very good. Our room was spacious, clean, very comfortable. They are mindful of the details that make guests comfortable- turn down service, coffee in the room, an umbrella to use, etc... We look forward to returning to Buenos Aires and would definitely stay at the Sofitel again.

Fabulous Service & FOOD!
Our first trip to Argentina and we did not know what to expect. Sofitel was perfect and reminded us of a stay in Paris. We ate 2 out of 4 nights at Le Sud (better than the nights away!). The hospitality of Mariano and personal appearance of the fabulous chef were great highlights. We went on to Cordoba & Bariloche for wonderful stays, but Sofitil remained the nicest hotel by far. The bar there is great and the food is AMAZING!
