We were offered a top floor room which was very beautiful, but extremely hot during the heatwave. There was air conditioning but the hotel didn't provide a remote for controlling it - we asked for this at reception, but were told they would go in the room and set it up themselves. I would expect to have access to the remote 24/7 and be able to change the air conditioning freely, especially during the extreme weather conditions and considering the windows don't open. Additionally, I was travelling with a small baby which the hotel was informed about - I was offered a top floor room which was only accessible through lifts and then some steps. the lift is so small that the pushchair barely fit in. I did ask for a more accessible room, but they didn't have any. Overall, the property is very beautifully decorated and the room was very nice, but I wouldn't recommend it in hot weather and as a family trip, unless they provide fully accessible rooms.
