The inside of the pool house was nasty. The back of the property was nasty with old mattresses. The carpet was stained like blood all over it and it smelled kind of musty. I think wood floor should I replace old carpet. The staff was arguing at our check in on the 17th. The breakfast was good but was late getting the buffet set up on Saturday. I mean I would stay again but it does need some updates. I know they just changed ownership so hopefully that changes the appearance

Our room was not clean we found spilled pop with the pop bottle still on the floor. We were supposed to get housekeeping and it didn’t happen. We checked in as three and given towels for 2. Two packet tiny shampoo so we needed to get more. Towels were scratchy.

Originally had a trip booked with the ramanda and cancelled it due to reviews of cleanliness. However, when we arrived to the Howard Johnson, it was also the Ramanda. We checked in and out in about 10 minutes due to the reviews. We made it to the hallway before our room before we turned around to check out. Discussed with Expedia a potential refund, or partial, and it was denied even though we didn’t stay either night that was booked.

Stayed for 5 nights for a great price! It was a simple check in even at 11pm, good variety of breakfast each morning, great location- right in the middle of everything, soft bed and pillows! Would recommend and come back!

Check in took about 30 minutes. NO TOWELS. THEY WILL LITERALLY TELL YOU WE DONT HAVE ANY BUT IF WE GET ANY ILL SEND SOME. The air wouldn’t work in our room. And ended up finding a BED BUG. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID. Plus dirty drug addicts sitting in their cars outside all the time. Unsafe, unclean, and over HORRIBLE. NOT EVEN WORTH 2$ a night. Couldn’t pay me to stay here. Waste of money. Had to leave in the middle of the night with my kids in a town we are unfamiliar with.

Got screwed out of $40 out of my $50 deposit for no reason when I left the room super clean. This is why people refuse to stay places that require deposits because people use these to scam the heck out of people and I left my room super clean like I leave any room that I rent I should have received my whole $50 deposit back… super not cool I’m a person who lives on a budget and didn’t do anything to have only $10 out of my deposit given back I need the rest of my deposit back or proof that I did anything to get my deposit taken or I’m going to have to take this further because this is outlandish and I want my money that I’m rightfully owed…

Hi Brigette,Im glad we spoke this morning and you were able to see that the 50.00 Deposit authorization was back on your account. It is common hotel procedure to authorize an amount for a security deposit at check in, that authorization is released once you check out of the hotel and can take 7 - 10 business days to reflect back to your account, which you sign acknowledging at check-in.

The property staff was very accomodating. We had some issues AFTER check in, but they handled them swiftly and graciously- moving us to a more suitable room...which we appreciate so much! We will say that it is obvious that this property was recently acquired and is undergoing changes. Lots of necessary repairs. Heard other guests complaints, while at the indoor pool, about how the pool was suposed to be heated and you could tell it absolutely was not. We had to pull our toddler out after about 15 minutes, or so, because it was too cold. The only Ice machine in our grouping of buildings was out of order, so i had to go up to office to get ice, and vending machines that appeared to take a card...did not. Only took cash. Inconvenient when you just want a small snack for the kiddos. With a few tweaks, and some cosmetic and functional repairs/corrections-this hotel is on its way to being a top hotel in Branson. Hoping to see these implemented on our next visit! Thanks guys and dolls

Stayed from a Thursday to Monday. Initial check in was simple. Got closer to the second floor room and kept hearing a dog bark and my room was next door to the barking. Room key wasn’t activated. Without saying anything about the dog (later it was determined to be a pet of an employee) front desk put me in a first floor room. First day breakfast was sketchy as the employee had stated it was his last day but turns out he stayed. Sat/Sun breakfast was ok. The bananas were rotten entirely I thought we would see fruit flies at some point. The last day nothing was set up during the set time and there were people and kids piling into that small lounge. We left and went ahead checking out. Showers were pretty good. Beds were comfy. Much out dated. Front desk was friendly but one could tell they were put out not from the guests but from the lack of support from their corporate or owners. I noticed they have been bought by Ramada so there is hope for this little hotel.

This is the first I have never been to a hotel that’s going by two names it’s a Howard Johnson but it also going by ramada inn two different names but one address and two different prices. Howard Johnson was at $93. The Ramada was that $103 it’s the exact same hotel, but with two different prices so be wary also, there is no elevator at this hotel so if you’re disabled or have trouble going upstairs. Make sure you sign up for a room on the bottom floor. before it was a Howard Johnson it was a shady oaks hotel.

Very nice staff. Rooms are huge. I have 3 kids and most rooms feel like you're on top of each other. You actually have room to stretch out here. Great breakfast.

This property was in poor repair. Floor tile in bathroom coming up, shower head did not work, and took 2 flushes to flush the toilet. The heater was really smelly and lighting in room was poor. Beds were obviously old. There was a water leak of some kind in the hallway. Instead of fixing the leak they simply had a sign up all 3 day saying floors may be wet. Towels and Bed covers had stains. Windows were leaking water inside window making a clear view out impossible. Swimming pool not open the first day, disappointed the children.

We arrived at this property on the back entrance of the property. You see exposed old mattresses as you come in. That’s not a good sign of the first impression you would expect from a business bearing the name of a good hotel company like Howard Johnson. 😰

Overall, our stay was disappointing. 1. Cleanliness: - The room was not up to par in terms of cleanliness. - Mystery dirt was found on the bathroom walls and door. - The bathroom floor was peeling up significantly. - Trash from a previous guest was left under the edge of the bed. 2. Comfort: - The bed was not comfortable. - The bathroom was uncomfortably small. 3. Property Condition: - The property appeared rundown. - Although the indoor pool had been renovated, the surrounding area seemed neglected, giving the impression of being untouched for years. The staff, however, couldn’t have been nicer! They did seem short staffed though, which meant we couldn’t get anything like towels brought to our room if it was too late. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for the price.

Overall it was pretty good for the price. The rooms were clean and spacious! The indoor pool was closed and they didn’t serve breakfast like we thought. They closed it because “No one came”. Other than that it was fine.

Staff was very friendly. It was very easy to find parking, because the hotel seemed mostly understaffed for the off-season. I was mildly unhappy because i had to walk quite a ways to my room from where i parked, even though the hotel was largely empty. The hotel was clean and well-kept. Thats mostly whats important!
