The check in was plain and simple, there did seem to be communication barriers which were dismissed due to staff at front desk seeming to be very sleepy. The room (request for a quiet room) was anything but, the combination of being put in the room at the end of a hall where everyone who smoked went in and out constantly, combined with the odor in the room, not sure if it was stale smoke, or in desperate need of updating from the 1980's. Sound travels well between walls and floors, hearing the thumping from above and the loud voices on the phone next door did not offer the ideal nights sleep. The housekeeping staff were all very kind, polite and did the best they could, given the tools they had. Not a snob here, however all my rags for washing my car are in better shape than the towels, face clothes and any other towels in the bathroom. Great location and it has ana mazing Smitty's next door. I would recommend Smitty's for their breakfast, say hello to Sandy if you do. overall, some updating, new towels, sound proofing and this place would be much more enjoyable. Super 8 in Winnipeg, night and day... was a fantastic stay there.
