Mattress too hard, furniture too old, no body lotion, don't have enough food for breakfast, The hotel charged €10 for parking on Sunday, while city parking is free.

Property was located near the city center which was very convenient. Lots of shops, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance. Rooms were clean but a little dated. Beds were pretty small. Reception staff wasn’t knowledgeable about the tours and just told us to scan a QR code. Room service only had sandwiches so we had to Uber to a McDonald’s after a night out with friends. Hotel also had one iron and ironing board which was super inconvenient since a number of us staying at the hotel were attending a wedding.

Super friendly staff!
I had a great stay at Mercure Braga! The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, and I would like to specifically highlight how wonderful the restaurant staff were. Everyone was so accommodating and I would definitely come back again.

Nice hotel, but…
Great, friendly service everywhere in the hotel. Beds are very hard. Uncomfortablly hard. It’s a shame because it’s a nice hotel in a great location with an outstanding staff.

Our family has stayed at the Mercure Braga a few times and always enjoy our stays. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and well appointed. Dinner in the restaurant is excellent. The area is within walking distance of many of Braga's historical sites. We look forward to a return visit!

Cost of a 4 star, service of a hostel.
The pool was really nice, and the location was great. I made my reservation and by mistake I didn’t change from 2 people to 1. When I arrived they had me pay in full for 2 people. This is disappointing for a 4 star hotel. No water in the rooms, no toiletries, a coffee maker- no water. It was missing all the basics of a hotel. Price of a hotel, service of a hostel. Just Basic.

Hotel not as central as expected. Also crossing road if going in direction of railway station difficult and dangerous on extremely busy road if you have luggage.

The hotel was in a great location. We went to Braga for our SEF appointment and it was an easy walk to the office from the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean and modern.

Very nice hotel in a good location. The room was quiet even though there is a busy road nearby. Breakfast was tasty. The bar has a nice terrace.

Enormous hotel on busy street junctions. We visited in May, and were told that air conditioning and swimming pool would not be not available until June, despite weather being 29 / 30 degrees. Pool and air con advertised on listing, but NOT described as seasonal. Underground car park is nearby, payment charged at hotel, but is for public use. Complex procedure for entry and departure. Excellent staff.

Very modern hotel yet cosy. Very close to walk to the shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was fortunate that all of my requests on booking were all granted. I’ll definitely will book my next visit at the Mercure Braga.

Nice hotel and the staff was accommodating when we needed things like an iron. The amenities weren't the best (ie. no conditioner provided and the hair dryer wasn't the best quality) but overall we had a good stay!

People here are much friendlier than in Lisbon!
Very well located, near the historic center, but far enough to avoid the noisy crowds. Also easy to get in and out by car without having to deal with the narrow streets in the old town. Great view of the hills (and the churches on top of them) from the room balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff; they would not let us leave town without visiting one of the monasteries we could see from our room, and we are very glad we did it!

Nice hotel in the center of city.
Great hotel in the center of the city. Walk to everything. Nice seasonal pool on the top floor. Gym could be better but not too bad.

Very central hotel with a pool.
At first we got a room with a view of a dirty rooftop. After a call to the reception they moved us to another really nice room with a great view. Props to them for resolving that quickly. The breakfast was nice and the swimming pool as well. The location is very central. Downsides: it was annoying to be asked wherever we went what our room number was (each time coming and going to the pool, when getting a towel by the pool, when buying a drink and coming to breakfast), also we got the worst and most expensive mojito there on our month trip in Spain and Portugal.
