“Would Love to go back”

Very impressed with this hotel and the staff. They provide a free shuttle bus to 4 main areas in Boston, Harvard, Boston Common,Copley Sq & The Aqarium. We found this very helpful and saved money and our legs. This hotel is a short walk to Harvard which has plenty to see, but about a 3 mile walk to Boston Town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we loved the warm cookie on arrival. Would definately recommend this hotel.

“Very impressed”

Very impressed with our suite at the Doubletrees, little bit out of the way but the walk to Central Station (approx 20 mins) was very containable and a 7 day travel pass very reasonable. The hotel bus was available but not always at the times we wanted. Very impressed with the staff who were extremely helpful - our only complaint was we would have liked china mugs instead of cardboard cups to drink our room coffee from but could probably put this down to our Englishness!

“Fantastic Hotel”

This hotel cannot be faulted! The Rooms were spotless and contrary to a review before, the showers are ace! Excellent restaurant, and a bar/snack lounge very welcome after walking all over Boston. It IS walkable to Central Boston from this hotel but allow a good 3/4 of an hour and good weather. Free coffee in morning, free internet (4 PC's), didn't try the pool but wish I had, and USA Today also free Beware breakfast which is expensive - go to D Donuts once in Boston instead! A real fabulous hotel and believe me its not that far out - Boston is a truly walkable city remember! One eatout tip - Joe Tecces Italian restaurant near North Station..Heaven on a plate and real cosy spot too!

“Great hotel overall”

lovely hotel with very friendly staff who are more than happy to help. Only downside is that it is a little out of the way thought the hotel runs a great shuttle bus. Would be better if shuttle bus ran a little later than 8pm. All in all I would highly recommend

“Very happy”

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, excellent shuttle bus service (can't manage without it unless you have a car, too far out of city, had a great time. Only annoying things: fridge very noisy as was air-con during the night when striking up.Could have done with a kettle, something Americans don't seem to have. Coffee-maker ok if you both want coffee not if one wants tea! Unfortunately didn't get to Jazz Club ran out of time.

“A good option”

We were aware before arrival that the hotel's location was not ideal with regard to travelling into the centre of Boston every day. However the hotel represents very good value for money and did run a shuttle into different parts of Boston regularly throughout the day. Alternatively the nearest 'T' stop is about a mile away and grants safe, easy access into the heart of Boston. One word of caution would be the roads around the hotel. There are no pedestrian crossings and it is extremely busy throughout the day with traffic. To conclude, if you don't fancy walking a mile to the T or you have young children this hotel may not be for you; otherwise i fully endorse it.

“Definitely a good place to stay if visiting Boston.”

The rooms are very comfortable and the level of service is excellent. The maid did an excellent job of cleaning the room and I enjoyed the view of the Charles. The hotel isn't particularly central, but is only about a 10 minute walk from the nearest subway station (Central) and from there it is easy to get to more central areas of Boston. The staff were always very polite and courteous and the hotel boasts free, fast internet which was useful. The hotel gym is excellent, but my one complaint with the hotel service is after reporting twice that the rowing machines had no batteries in there were still none put in by the end of my stay which was annoying. I didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel but breakfast was reasonably good if not slightly pricey and a bit oily. I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a mid-priced place to stay if visiting Boston.
