What stands out for this property is the LOCATION. It’s really the center of the city. Beyond that, there were issues —
1) when we checked in, they offered us a room that needed to use the service elevators to get there. Really? We said NO.
2) The hotel, especially the public hallways, are in bad need of updating. There were often unpleasant smells wafting through the corridors (like food prep). The rooms appear to have been recently renovated.
3) Servicing the room was an issue. We had to remind the hotel daily to clean the room, otherwise it wouldn’t be done. Really?
4) The fake silk flowers all throughout the property have to go.
5) The in-house restaurant options and breakfast were fair and service was efficient and good.
Overall, location was great, service was uneven and the property needs updating. And don’t agree to the rooms where you have to take the service elevators, unless you’d enjoy riding with the cleaning and maintenance staff.
