Pros: - Quiet, even for being right in the middle of the tourist area - Friendly staff, spoke both French and English - Helpful staff - Has 2 cafes/restaurant right down stairs, super convenient - Good shower and bathroom facilities Cons: - Afternoon facing wall, means it gets very hot in the afternoon and holds the heat throughout the night, even with the window open. - Dated and not cleaned properly. Corner of my room had either a build up of dust or mold (or both) - Floors dirty throughout the hotel - Dirty room ventilation. Sinisus blocked up the second I opened the vent. If they cleaned these rooms to a higher standard and maintained it, I would give another star or 2.

Room is very small，much smaller than it is list 215sq on Expedia. parking is the public Indigo underground parking. rate is high but very close. this hotel is in excellent location，next to Opera House.

It's an old Hotel , rooms are big enough but toilette and shower not too confortable. It situated just at centre and walkable to everywhere. Good dining options nereby.

I would stay here again
Although my room was small, it was perfect for 1 person. Shower was great, with plenty of hot water and hood water pressure. The location is perfect - very near to tram/bus lines. Great restaurant choices as well.

Lovely hotel, a bit dated. Staff very friendly. If you are a non-smoker make sure you do not get a room above the smoking area, you'll smell the smoke in your room. Excellent location.

Very nice property for the value!Excellent location close to the shopping at St Catherine and within a very historic district. The Tran stops close by and is a convenient conveyance. The room was very basic but comfortable bedding and beds. There is an elevator. The staff was helpful. Though no luxurious, this hotel comes recommended by myself and husband.

Good location and nice air-conditioned room
The hotel may be a bit old, but it is in a very convenient location. The room is quite small and furniture may look old, but overall it is very clean, the bathroom is clean and relatively spacious. The room is with air conditioning which is important in the summer as Bordeaux can be quite hot. The reception is attentive and helpful.

Little gem
What a little gem. The location is perfect for walking around the city. Wine tasting and bike tours close by plus shops and great restaurants. Rooms are small but fine for a stay in the city.

The hotel rooms where much larger than I expected. The shower and toilette was separated by closed doors, which was nice. The windows looking out to the city were wide and have wonderful view of the square. The elevator is extremely old and small like a closet. Of course, they put me on the top floor. There was no in room refrigerator. It is an older hotel and has what looks like original carpet and decor. The dinner and lunch was typical and good at the restaurant attached to hotel. The trolley station was less than 1 min away.

Cannot beat the central location! Very easy access to public transportation, shopping areas, the river, Bordeaux attractions. Staff was pleasant and willing to speak English or French. Although hotel is older, rooms were up to date with regard to beds and bathrooms. We would stay there again.

Excellent service in a classic hotel.
This hotel is a Time Capsule. Immediately you’re back in old Bordeaux with a classic hotel feel that is lost in the century past. It’s full of character and life. Small rooms yet comfortable with AC and nice bathroom. Everything was clean except the shower curtain which was filled with mold because the shower drained poorly. The service was excellent. The front desk was extremely accommodating. The location is outstanding. Quite possibly can’t be more central.

It started badly at check-in. We were made wait for our room by front desk employee. While waiting, the same front desk employee checked in guests who came in AFTER us. I confronted him as to why he checks in guests while making us wait. He was speechless, I still don't have an explanation and I'm actually expecting one. Besides, hotel is shabby and cleanness is almost nowhere and is a lot needed and desired.

Amazing!
Wow, wow, I am in LOVE with this place. Although its a very old hotel ( More than 100 year old), it has al the amenities you need. My rooms was perfect, super roomy and the bathroom with tub was amazing! The best thing about this hotel is hands down the location. Just across the street is the famous Intercontinental Hotel. Staff was the BEST!!!!!!!!!

The shower curtain was dirty, there was so much dust and dirt in the bathroom, the towels had stains on them, but the AC was wonderful, and the location was amazing!

We would go again
Excellent hotel and we loved it. The only down-side was the poor attitude of the breakfast staff (but that was down to one person, the rest of the staff were OK). Hotel right in centre of Bordeaux, next to tram and theatre. Big room, comfortable.
