We very much enjoyed our stay here. Our bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The food was excellent and the views over the Rhine were beautiful. The staff were very friendly and I liked the fact that I could practice my German without them immediately going into English! My only small complaint was that I would have liked a bathtub in the bathroom which was spacious enough to have one. Otherwise it was a lovely hotel and we hope to come again sometime.

Historic hotel, view of Rhine River and wonderful Sieben Burgen hills, quiet, leafy location, clean. Hotel restaurant not great; not many restaurants nearby. No air conditioning. Free garage parking a plus.

Dreesen is a beautiful hotel on the Rhein river with a great Beir Garten. Rooms are large and well appointed. Recommend to couples and families.

Not what I paid for.
Paid extra for a room overlooking the river, but got a room overlokking a derelict steel structure at the side of the hotel.

Location is excellent we woke up each morning to the sound of the Rhine. Hotel very clean and staff helpful and courteous Breakfast exceptionally good. Hope to stay there again.

Decent place to stay
Overall ok hotel. No air conditioning in the room. However they provide a small fan. Location is nice and silent. Choices in breakfast are limited but good enough.

I stayed here for an extended period as a child. It still has all the charm and character as then. Very nice, unique room with spectacular view of the Rhine. No AC. It was warm despite the provided fan. Great breakfast. Very nice outdoor beer garden on the Rhine. Very good restaurant.

nice hotel on the Rhine ... we arrived too late for dinner in the restaurant, but the beer garden had food and such needed beer after a messy day of travel. Great running and cycling track along the river with the hotel hiring out bikes. Nice room with great view.

the hotel location was good and quiet. breakfast was good. the staff average. we booked a twin room while when check in, the receptionist told us they do not have twin available! so we had no choice but accept a king bed room. Hotel changed the other day our room to a twin.

The Dreesen is a very traditional, beautiful and well maintained older hotel. Staff and grounds were wonderful. The breakfast Buffett has everything you could want. I did not eat at the hotel restaurant for anything other than breakfast but it has a very traditional breakfast. Parking is a little bit of a walk but this is a common problem all over Bonn. Rooms have been recently remodeled in a modern yet traditional style. I had a room with a 2nd floor with a view of the Rhine. Quite lovely!

Rhine break
This hotel is in a beautiful location by the Rhine. Our room was very comfortable and well maintained. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere with very helpful and courteous staff. The restaurant is beautifully traditional, with a super range of foods at breakfast time. If I was returning to this area, I would certainly stay here again.

The hotel location is really nice; on the Rhin river, especially if you have a room with a river balcony. Hotel condition is overall quite good and Breakfast is also good. No ACs in the room though, and if it is a hot night during summer and the windows are left open you will have many kinds of small bugs in the room that is annoying.

Comfortable Hotel on the Rhine with great views!
I was warmly welcomed by the gentleman at reception when I arrived around 9 pm. He assured me that I would be able to get a meal at the restaurant before it closed at 10 pm and that I could move my car away from the front door after I had put my bags away in the room. Indeed, he was in the restaurant when I came downstairs again to be sure that they would look after me! My room was quite generously sized and the outlook of the hotel on the Rhein is lovely. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious and as I went down to breakfast early, only a few other people having a quiet breakfast and reading newspapers were there. All in all, a most pleasant stay!

Good - breakfast, receptionist, riverside location. Not good - noise, cobwebs in room, uncomfortable chairs, poor soundproofing, building needs a refurb (major hotel chain still using keys for rooms !), crack in ceiling, expensive, some staff in the beer garden need training.

Beautiful hotel
Gorgeous hotel, great location, lovely views. Staff were helpful. Free bikes so you can cycle along the beautiful Rhine. Didn’t get round to using the pool but you get free access to a local open air pool.

Beautiful location
We love the hotel, it is not in Bonn City center. You need a car to get to the hotel and it's located more than 30 min from Bonn City. Elegant and very comfortable.
