“Perfect stay in a lovely city.”

We were given an upgrade and a choice of two rooms upon our arrival: one a larger but somewhat dated looking room on the street, the other a recently renovated smaller room on an internal courtyard. We chose the second room as we wanted quiet, and also because the new decor was very beautiful. The hotel was everything we hoped for: luxurious, perfect location, excellent staff and service. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel for another stay.

“Majestic Baglioni”

Absolutely enjoyed our stay and all staff were friendly & helpful. Th room was well above standard and it was a true 5 star experience. It is at the heart of Bologna and easily accessible to all interesting sites. One issue though: No one knew where the "majestic" hotel was as it was commonly referred as "baglioni" locally or "majestic baglioni".

“Superb. The Italian way.”

I liked everything about the hotel. Classical decor, with spotless upkeep. Centrally located, attentive staff and good room service, good breakfast, including plenty of fresh fruits. Free wifi throughout the hotel and 2 desktop computers in the business centre room accessible 24hrs. I don't know if there are any rooms with a nice view of the city, nevertheless my room had plenty of light and was very quiet - more important for me during this trip. Large comfortable bed and pillows helped to enjoy a good sleep.

“Modern luxury in an ancient setting”

This is a modern luxury hotel set within a 17th century palace, right in the historical centre of Bologna. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, with a hugely comfortable bed, flat screen TV, minibar, free wi-fi, and a well equipped bathroom with luxury toiletries. The breakfast table was groaning with delights, savory and sweet (with breakfast included in the room rate). Above all, the staff here were absolutely charming and supremely efficient. Most of them knew and used our names (including the doorman who would not let us open the door ourselves). In contrast to many hotels, even at this level, there were no petty additional charges for things like wi-fi, newspapers, or bottled water. The whole place felt as if there was a generosity of spirit about it. We can't wait to return.

“Bologna's best option”

This is one of the top hotels in Bologna - with prices to match - but there is never any doubt that their aim is to give you an experience you will never foreget. We were upgraded from a 'Classic' to a 'Superior' room, with a rack rate quoted by the door four times higher than the rate we paid! What had we done to deserve that? Other reviewers have been treated equally generously, so it must be the hotel's policy - and one which other hotels should follow. Service everywhere is exemplary, and breakfast - often a disgrace in Italy - was superb, and even included unlimited Prosecco! Early check-in and check out were no problem for them. The location could not be more central. This must be the all-round best choice in the city.
