Poorly maintained
Historic building with great facilities but not well maintained or cleaned. I was disappointed with the stay and it did not represent value for money. Would not recommend.

Holiday in Bethlehem
Fabulous stay in a shabby, sheek hotel with an amazing pool! Stayed for a week. Visited the Dead Sea, Old Jerusalem, Manger Square, Holocaust Museum, the Walled Off Hotel (Banksy Hotel), the Wall to see the art. Lots of lazy time by the pool.

The hotel and staff were very nice. The hotel needs a bit of repair, but overall is was good. It had a very nice gym; which we do not find in many hotels in Middle East or Europe.

The buildings are amazing and it is fine for a one or two night stay. However if you are staying for two or three weeks it is not so great. The breakfast is almost the same every day with no fresh fruit other than the occasional water melon. I got very tired of tinned pineapple! Also the dinner options were limited. The tent restaurant was advertised as 'Grillin and Chillin' but the grilled foods only included deep fried French fries with no alternative. The area also was not ideal due to the proximity to the Wall where there were some protests particularly on Fridays.

The hotel location are excellent , the old building and the hotel design is wonderful and give me anew experience. But the service is very poor , no stafff , slow feed back Its like ( help ur self ) no one is here to serve u Swimming pool is good and food is not that good It deserve 3.5 The price per night is expensive compared with hotel service

I recently booked a seven-night stay through Hotels.com at the Jacir Palace Hotel in Bethlehem in March of 2017. I ended up canceling the last night due to the fact that my traveling companion had to rearrange her round trip air itinerary because El Al Israel Airlines refused to let her board the flight. We notified the hotel desk in advance and they agreed to refund the credit card for one night's stay in the amount of $120. After multiple emails over the period of the last 10 weeks, most of which have gone unanswered, the hotel has still not refunded the $120. When Hotels.com called Jacir Palace, to inquire about the status of the impending refund, they were advised that there is no record of a refund request on file. 
Although I have no complaints about the condition of the hotel or the staff I can’t recommend the Jacir Palace Hotel because they are not responsive at all to email communications and have not followed thru re the cancellation/refund that they agreed to. I was advised by Hotels.com that there was nothing that they could do to assist me. They suggested that I dispute the charge with the credit card company. It's disappointing that Hotels.com does not hold their partner hotels accountable.

Bullet point Summary 1. We emailed before our trip to see if hotel supplied power adapters, they said they do, they lied, and our phones were dead that night after long day flying. 2. Would not take Pound Sterling despite saying they do. 3. Told us they can exchange sterling to shekel but when I got to counter they said they cant. Then changed to say they can but will have to give us a poor rate and we are better going elsewhere? WHY? We are your guest so be fair. 4. Room was very dirty, floor not hoovered and mini fridge had blown up and was nothing but a shell. Duvets and pillow cases had holes in them. 5. Breakfast included, if you like mash potato and insect coated stale bread 6. Website states pool is open in Spring and it wasn't. Although we went in late April during 30'c heat. 7. They did nothing when we complained about adaptor and room cleanliness. 8. When we decided to leave the next day, I refused to pay the massive $120 a night fee based on the fact they had not supplied what they should have and I demanded a discount. The response was to call security. Jacir Palace almost ruined our holiday. As it is they badly let us down as I was really looking forward to days lounging by the pool and swimming with my 2 yr old daughter. We were lucky enough to find another hotel with room for us as it was easter weekend which is a busy time. I strongly advise anyone to AVOID this place.

Bethlehem was an interesting city to visit. The hotel, however, was not great. The hotel was obviously a grand hotel once upon a time, when it belonged to the the Intercontinental group. It is now tired, and it shows. We were not allowed an early check-in, and the hotel did not seem to have a secure locked room to store our luggage, hence we were told to leave it in the reception lobby. I must add that it was still safely there when we got back from exploring. We were given a room with 2 twin beds instead of a king size, and were told that there were no rooms with king size beds available, even though the hotel did not appear to be full. They then just joined the 2 beds together. Breakfast was not great. A large variety but not the best or most fresh. The hotel should consider making a smaller variety and concentrate on quality instead. Also, while the room was clean the lobby area was quite dusty.

Not the "Grand Lady" it was in 2000
I first stayed at Jacir Palace in Sept 2000 (just before the Intifada)- it was magnificent- from décor, to service and food; and I really looked forward to returning to the splendor of the hotel. However, I was somewhat disappointed- the hotel is now jaded, the housekeeping is awful and the breakfasts were the same for all 5 days that I stayed there. It is definitely not 5-Star quality. I guess it is ok if it is a one night stay, but the "cracks" in the system become glaring, if staying longer. I do not believe that one needs to call each time for amenities that are meant to be replenished daily. The staff are friendly bit this does not make up for its downsides. It has so much potential and if restored to its previous "glory", i would definitely return, but not in its current state, when there are hotels in the vicinity that provide excellent service.

The hotel has wonderful potential but is in need of some restoration and a makeover/updates. Items like the carpets, robes, curtains etc. had holes in them or burns on them. It has the potential to be wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel! Would definitely stay again!
Our family had a great stay at the hotel. The staff was incredible! The breakfast was great -- as was their hotel restaurant. And the hotel is located across the street from some great food options as well. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is well decorated.

Awesome Oasis in Bethlehem!
Our room was large and very clean. The bedding was wonderful and I slept soundly! Staff were friendly and directed us to a great restaurant within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Wonderful hotel in a bautiful building.
The staff was attentive and courteous. While the entire hotel is not a historic structute the main buliding is bautifuly preserved. The facilities are nice, but you can easily get losts in the hallways if you are not careful. Overall, it was a great stay.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel (Jacir Palace) over the Yom Kippur weekend. It was a busy time for them, but our stay was wonderful- absolutely beautiful historic main building, very friendly staff who spoke English, Hebrew and Arabic (and probably more), a great pool, numerous restaurants, bars and other public spaces, and close enough to walk to sites of interest or easy and cheap taxis. We felt spoiled after a great two days. Bethlehem itself was easy to get around in, with lots to see and do. The one suggestion: yikes, early September in Israel and the West Bank is too hot for this mid-westerner! We'll go during another season next time (although there WAS that great pool...).

Needs to be cleaned!!!
The outside of the hotel was nice however, the rooms were filthy. It seems to us that the hotel was nice in the past (maybe 5 years ago) but it really needs a thorough cleaning. There were 2 tour busses full with African missioners. It was really loud with the prayers and the parties. Overall, we wouldn’t go back to this hotel. Jerusalem is 20-30 minutes away...it’s is nicer, cleaner and you’ll find better hotels.

Belle établissement mais pas de restauration possible le midi et le soir. Seul un bar d ouvert jusque tard le soir. Toutes les activités sont fermés sauf la piscine dont le mobilier est vétuste. Personnel très agréable et bâtiment très beau avec une histoire.

WORST STAY EVER !! AFTER THE BRAND "INTERCONTINENTAL" LEFT THE HOTEL IT BECAME LIKE "A HOMELESS" HOTEL. DOESNT DESERVE TO GET 3 STARS ! Good rooms in an ok hotel
Decent hotel! A really Big hotel and since the room was not in the Malin building it was very confusing getting to the room, Teo elevators and some walking distance. The pool was empty so we could not use it. However they were friendly and tried their best to help us. Not the most modern Roma but good, beds comfortable and decent sized. Breakfast good. Betlehem and the West bank=great!

良い意味で泊まるホテルを間違えました。
テルアビブで1泊1万円の中流ホテルに滞在したのち、ベツレヘムへ移動し、こちらの同じ価格帯のジャシル•パレスに泊まりました。 いやはや、同じ一万円でもここまでホテルのランクが違うとは思いませんでした...。というのも、前述の通りイスラエルの首都テルアビブで1万円のホテルというと中流ホテルになるのですが、どうもパレスチナで同じ値段を出すと高級ホテルのスイートルーム?に泊まれてしまうようです。 とても広いホテルで、部屋も上から2番目の角部屋でした。 スタッフの対応は丁寧で、ベッドメイキングのお兄さんもとてもフレンドリーで好感が持てました。 ただし、一つ注意点があります。現地で滞在する際、タクシーなんかに乗るとき、運転手がほぼ確実にどこに泊まってるのか聞いてくるのですが、間違ってもジャシルパレスとは答えないようにしましょう。 というのも、ジャシルパレスは現地でも高級ホテルとして有名なようで、一度ここに泊まってると分かればぼったくろうとしてきます。

Sehr schönes Hotel in guter Lage
Die Lage und Architektur des Hotels ist klasse. Sehr schöne Pool Anlage die bei dem tollen Wetter auch täglich benutzt wurde. Die Ordentlichkeit im Pool/Gartenbereich könnte verbessert werden, oft sah man Flaschen noch tagelang herumstehen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück gut und ausreichend, man fand im sehr schönen Restaurant immer Platz trotz manchmal großer Touristengruppen. Das Hotel liegt nahe am Checkpoint zu Jerusalem so dass man als Tourist die Jerusalemer Altstadt sehr schnell und einfach über Taxi/Bus erreichen kann. Bethlehem Zentrum (Geburtskirche) erreicht man in ca. 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß, mit Taxi in 3-4 Minuten. Wir sind immer zu Fuß da man weitaus mehr von der sehr schönen Altstadt sieht und fast immer sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite (Wegweisung) Leute trifft. Ich reise geschäftlich jährlich mehr als 150,000 Meilen und habe in meinem Leben schon so manchen Ort gesehen, die Freundlichkeit der Leute von Bethlehem ist außergewöhnlich. Wir haben in den 6 Tagen im Hotel viele Ziele im Westjordanland (Totes Meer, Nablus (klasse!!!), Jericho) aber auch Israel (Tel Aviv, Jaffa (bis auf alten orientalischen Markt wie typische Mittelmeerstadt) sowie natürlich die Altstadt von Jerusalem besucht. Am besten die Touristen Hotspots in Jerusalem vermeiden, wenn 5 Busladungen gleichzeitig dort sind wird es oft viele zu eng.

Excelente hotel
Excelente hotel. Buena ubicacion, excelente habitacion, muy limpio, exquisita piscina, el desayuno no me gustó mucho.

Hotel que je déconseille. Water fonctionne pas. Douche cassée. Mauvaise réception du wifi dans l'endemble de l'hôtel
