"1. Excellent location of resort. Staff was very courteous..facilities are good.. Room was beach facing 2. Check in experience was bad inspite of informing upfront had to wait for over 90 minutes post international travel.. it was a downer .. 3. We had dinner in their Indian and Thai restaurants ..taste was excellent and service was very good.. 4. other locations in Mauritius are within 1- 1.5 hours drive 5. Breakfast and Dinner buffet for vegetarian food is decent."

Constance Belle Mare Plage
8/10 Good
"Beautiful and relaxing stay. The resort is big with multiple pools, restaurants and amenities. The beach of the property is long. The staff is very kind and helpful. Mr. Yassin from reception helped us a lot. Check in was fast. During our stay the hot water suddenly stopped. We call the reception they sent someone to fix it and they upgrade us the next night. The doors of the rooms and balcony need some renovation. Otherwise the stay was amazing and refreshing. I recommend it"

LUX* Grand Gaube
10/10 Excellent
"We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel and were impressed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is absolutely stunning as soon as you walk through the entrance, with a spacious open-plan layout that creates a welcoming atmosphere and provides plenty of room for families to relax and enjoy their stay. One of the standout features of the hotel is the exceptional staff. Every member of the team was warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile, which made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The resort itself is set within large, beautifully maintained grounds, offering plenty of space to explore and unwind. There is an excellent variety of food and dining options available, each with its own unique charm. The spa facilities are beautiful and provide the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. We were also very impressed by the boathouse team, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating. As a beginner solo snorkeller, I asked whether one of the crew members could accompany me, and without hesitation this was arranged. Their support and encouragement made for a positive snorkelling experience. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with an impressive selection of options catering to a wide range of tastes. The area for improvement would be the check-in and check-out process, which could be made a little smoother and quicker. I would happily recommend this hotel and would like to return in future."

Seasense Boutique Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our week-long stay at Seasense and would give it a 4.5 score if we could. This small 63-room adult-only boutique hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are well appointed. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be slow at mealtimes. The exclusive beach is quite small and shallow but fine for a splash or a snorkel. The pretty à la carte restaurant is right by the sea, and there was no shortage of loungers, including with shade. The small pool is heated and lovely for a quick dip. The modest spa and sauna is a nice touch. Two issues however. First, noise from the road: the hotel is sandwiched on a small strip or land between the main coast road and the sea. More importantly, we found the food quite variable: occasionally excellent, always presented beautifully, but often bland and under-seasoned and cold. A shame given the reputation of Mauritian cuisine. Also, half the menu items (and nearly all the fish options) are subject to hefty supplements. The buffet night (combined with a free cocktail party for guests) was however enjoyable."

Holiday Inn Mauritius Mon Tresor by IHG
8/10 Good
"I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occassions and highly recommend it for its proximity to the airport. However the Hotels site states "Enjoy seamless travel with a top-rated airport shuttle for easy transfers" and theb further down the site, "Airport transportation included". I was booked on the early flight on Kenya Airways and when I went to the desk for the shuttel was told that it does not run early morning. I had to arrange a Plan B."
