"I had a very relaxing stay at the well-appointed lodging. The newly installed pool was a pleasant and welcomed surprise, especially since it wasn't listed at the time of booking. Upon arrival, guests are greeted and escorted to their rooms. The onsite restaurant and staff were wonderful, and despite the current expansion happening on the grounds, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The eco-friendly toiletries provided were a nice touch. Conveniently located next to the Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve, which we were able to see from our room, is a nice stop, as the other sights are hours drive away. There are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the residence. However, please note that the walk down several steep streets to the downtown area is not easy, especially in the heat. It takes about 20 minutes, and requires a climb back up to the residence, so it's not suitable for everyone. If you prefer, you can take a cab from the welcome center to the downtown area for around $10 BZE.There are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the residence. "The overall atmosphere of the place was fantastic. It was far enough off the road that it was quiet, and it felt very secluded. The scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed the short walk to the restaurant and pool. We really can’t comment on the restaurant as we chose not to eat dinner there, as we were not hungry. So of course, the next morning we were starved. And they still were not open by 730. I’m not sure what time they did finally open. Also, being a coffee, lover, having no coffee pot in my room was a bummer. We finally drove into town to find a cup of coffee and breakfast. The pool was lovely. Perfect temperature."

"This beautifully designed lodge, on 4000 acres, is a unique experience. 107 free range horses, parrots, monkeys add to the ambience. Large , comfortable a/c rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant ,and lovely pool, make for a memorable stay. Convenient to many sites. Owner’s wife is an excellent artist and has a gallery there. We loved it!"

"Lovely hidden jem in Mountain Pine Ridge ripe with natural quiet surroundings, great food at the restaurant and amazing staff. Villas are comfortable and tastefully furnished. We stayed in the Sun Temple villa which’s great for a family of four. Food is great at the restaurant with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. A lot of times ingredients come fresh from the properties grounds. They have already onsite Zip lining and offer a variety of tours, some of which like ATM caves, Caracol and Barton Creek cave are highly recommended. "
