"The view and location is great and it is ideal if you are a solo traveler backpacking. But if you have kids/ travel with large bags, please avoid this place as there are no elevators and the rooms are a bit crammed for space! "

"Great central location but couple of issues - lights in bathroom didn't work, there was a massive ridge in the middle of the floor (trip hazard) & the fridge was not working - in fact it was running very hot & there was a burning smell in the unit (plastic was warping inside fridge around light) - a clear fire risk. When informed Smartflats simply thanked us for the info & made no attempt. to remedy or compensate. Poor service as we rented the apartment to prepare our own food & were limited....

"This property was nothing like the pictures. The washroom was so small you couldn’t fit in and close the door, it was by the kitchen no ventilation. The lights in the kitchen didn’t work. They had teenagers staying in that building partying all night until 5am drinking and making lots of noise. We didn’t feel safe at all. "The room was simply tiny. The mattress was sat on pallets rather than an actual bed. The shower door was broken and hung loose in the shower. Duck tape was trying to hold it up. I had children with me so this was dangerous. There was no kitchen (which the advert said there was) and we had to was dishes in the bathroom sink. Finally, there was grease or dates smeared on the wall. The internet didn’t work, the fan was broken too. It was on a busy urban street, so if it wasn’t midnight revelers...

"Location excellent as very near centre. Would have been good to know about the 6 flights of stairs in the property description. A number of minor issues which we notified straight away - to be fair we asked for nobody to fix them while we were there but I took photos on arrival so we wouldn't be accused of anything."

"Very nice property, very clean and organized. It is in a very good location, close to commercial and historical sites. A lot of things to do and places to eat nearby. We had a little confusion with the entry code, but could sort it out with the help of the property management and they immediately took care of it."

There are a few cosmetic things the property needs to fix or look into for future tenants. The rooms' curtain rods look like they were broken and so the curtains had to be hooked onto the window. "No towels… must rent them. No hand soap in bathroom or kitchen. Bed is not made must make it yourself. Dead bugs on floor. Hallway area was run down and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We paid extra for an ocean view room and did have a great view and overall felt relatively safe. "
