Very warm welcome, very helpful young lady at reception. The room (no.1) is in desperate need of refurbishment! The very thin vinyl floor is lifting everywhere, the cover hiding the radiator wires has come undone, there are wholes in the walls, the bathroom is extremely dated... however the bed is very comfortable and the room was clean. I guess you get what you pay for... Location is ideal for overnight stay as close and easy access to the motorway.

You always get what you expect.

You know exactly what you will get when you stay at a Campanile. The room is compact but has everything you need and it always has a bath. The meal is good value and the buffet starter and desert are excellent. Staff are always helpful

Perfect for a last minute stopover.

It was a last minute decision to stay here as I was too tired to travel any further, the hotel was in an industrial area, it was adequate as I only needed somewhere to sleep the lady at check in was very friendly and helpful, what I saw of the bar and restaurant looked very nice it was a shame I couldn’t take full advantage of it.

Comfy rooms, free wi-fi and a good restaurant.

Good value stopover on the way to the ski slopes. Easy to get to, just off the motorway, decent rooms and a very good price. Set menu in the restaurant was tasty, plentiful and well worth the money.

Functional not fancy

Lovely staff, hotel very convenient for ParcExpo. Slightly 'worn' looking but very clean, fair sized room and good size bathroom. good breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant was fine - but there are much better options in town. All in all a functional place to stay.

Ideal location for the Beaujolais Marathon

We went for the marathon weekend, this hotel was perfectly located 5-10 mins from the Parc Expo. Friendly staff and clean, tidy rooms. If we go back for the marathon will stay here again.

Journey break

Would have been good to have directions from the A6 to the hotel on the website, would have made finding it easier. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but otherwise the perfect stopover hotel en route to skiing holiday.

Does what it says on the box

Exactly what we wanted - 2 minutes from the autoroute, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good shower, etc. We had to extend our stay to 2 nights due to car problems and the staff were brilliant in helping us to deal with all the extra problems involved (eg. printing boarding passes for alternative travel). Well done Campanile Villefranche and thank you.

Awful location but food was good

The hotel is in a very industrial part of the town with no services near and very busy roads etc. The hotel had no bar but did serve drinks with the evening meal. The room was ok and quite comfortable and the service in the restaurant was efficient and the staff were pleasant. We will/would not stay here again due to its awful location.

Ski stop outbound

Stayed overnight on way to ski resort. Hotel was clean and room was comfortable although space was short once third bed was in use. Location was convenient for onward travel. However we felt breakfast was overpriced and maybe a less central location might have been cheaper.

A good overnight stopover north of Lyon

The location was ideal for an overnight stopover when travelling through France. The accommodation had all that we required for a comfortable night, eg kettle and tea/coffee, and it was very quiet during the night, so we had a good rest. The quality of the food on the onsite restaurant was very good. The only complaint the room was very stuffy when we arrived, as the shutters were closed, it took some time to get a flow of fresh air into the room.

Chauffage par aérotherme en panne seul le chauffage d'appoint électrique de disponible, l'aérotherme émettait un bruit de circulation d'eau la première nuit. Eau chaude non disponible le 2eme matin.

Chambre ayant besoin d'être sérieusement rénovée : manque de prise électrique, toiles d'araignée au plafond, rideau de la chambre en mauvais état, sdb non fonctionnelle et vieillotte (rideau de douche jauni, mitigeur en mauvais état, support cassé, chauffage d'appoint d'un autre temps, pas de balayette WC, etc...). Nous sommes habitués des Hotels Campanile mais nous n'avons jamais eu une chambre comme celle là en France ni à l'étranger. Le petit déjeuner et l'accueil étaient corrects.

Proprete a revoir, personnel acceuillant

Chambre sale , des toiles d'araignée au plafond , un luminaire avec un mouchoir usagé (!!!!!!!!!!) Une araignée dans la baignoire en plein bain sorti de nulle part Literie excellente , tv egalement . Il ne faut pas hesiter a investir dans du nouveau mobiliers/décoration , un plumeau et un personnel de menage competent ! Personne de lacceuil et du restaurant tres souriant et aimable . Un acceuil chaleureux au petit dejeuner , petit dejeuner varier et delicieux !
