Mold in the ceiling of the shower. No TV remote in the room. Very noisy at night. My rental car was damaged and the owner of the property did not help in any way.

Disappointing overnight stay
The bedroom was shabby compared to other Campanile hotels. Only 2 threadbare towels, a tear in duvet cover & poor quality pillows. However the staff were very friendly & the food was good. A coach load of teenagers on a school trip were too noisy at night for us other guests

One of the better Campaniles
One of the better campanile hotels, not as run down as others such Rouen Sud. Staff friendly and helpful, plenty of free parking and perfect for the motorway. Definitely would stay here again.

Straightforward and adequate
Perfectly fine for a stop-over for the night. Easy to find, good (if a bit tight spacing) parking. Decent breakfast (€11.50 extra) - continental style with lots of choice and quantity. Overall, if you need somewhere to get an overnight stop, this is fine 😊

Great staff make this place
It's a budget chain so you know what to expect in general. However, what lifts this branch is the exceptionally good attitude of the staff and the quality of the food. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. Otherwise, how shower, clean bed, you know the drill. Very convenient location if you are travelling on the Spain or Portugal.

Too expensive for a 3 stars hotel and too expensiv
The hotel rate I paid (141 EUR) was too expensive for such a dated hotel. Besides there were crumbs on top of one of the twin beds and we got a room on the far end of the corridor which is the closest you can get to the nearby road and we could hear traffic from our beds. I would not stay here again unless everything is fully booked in Bayonne.

Room smelt of cigarette smoke; beds were comfortable, carpet was stained and could do with replacing. Room was surprisingly quiet considering it’s location just off a busy roundabout. Breakfast buffet was fine. Overall it was not worth complaining about for an overnight stop on our way to Spain, but would look for another hotel next time.

Good stopover. No complaints.
Good stopover on the way back to the ferry in northern France. Rooms are a little tired but comfortable. Great supermarket across the roundabout for all your needs. We travel with our 2 dogs and there is an area of grass for exercise and they are allowed in the room for a small fee if the weather is too hot or cold. Staff are pleasant and helpful. I emailed in advance to request a downstairs room with walk in shower and received a prompt reply. The room was as requested. We have stayed here several times and have no complaints. Breakfast is OK if a bit pricey but as I have a milk allergy find it better to self cater. The room has a kettle and paper cups and 2 coffees 1 black tea and 1 fruit/ herbal tea plus a little milk and sugar is supplied but if you enjoy a good brew suggest you bring your own. Overall a good experience. Would liken this hotel chain to Travelodge in the UK.

Good stop.
The female staff are very friendly and helpful but the males are a bit aloof. I have found his on a couple of visits. However if you are lucky enough to deal with the ladies this place is a good place to stop on a journey to Spain. Food not up to much but there is a great supermarket just across the riad and places to eat nearby. Dog friendly too.

Friendly staff at check in who spoke excellent English. Small restaurant on site but fast food places close by along with supermarket. Room was small but very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. This was a one night stay for us on journey driving home from Spain to UK and the hotel was situated not far off the motorway and so was ideal.

Good stopover but suffers under pressure
Good stopover on the France Spain route. Have stayed here twice. The first visit was great which is why we chose to return. However on our return journey the hotel was fully booked with a handball and a football team and we were unable able to check in until 4pm. As it was 30 degrees and we had 2 dogs with us this was far from ideal. We called and requested an early check in but were advised we could not be accommodated. We actually arrived at 15.50 and were greeted by a lot of tutting at reception. Can't fault the position of the hotel and on our first visit the staff were lovely but obviously the staff on our second visit were feeling the pressure and our stay was affected. Will probably stay again as it is convenient for us. Will just have to hope it's a quiet night.

Not a hotel; it’s a motel!
This is a motel so don’t be fooled to think it’s a hotel. Rooms are worn, plain and basic. Fine for a night or two but nothing more.

Very convenient for overnight stop
Easy to find. Reception staff were efficient, pleasant and spoke very good English. The quality of our evening meal was excellent. Breakfast timing catered for an early start. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

A cut above...
For an overnight stop en route to Spain/Portugal this is a definite cut above most of the cheaper chain motel competition. Pleasant and well designed room with comfortable beds, air conditioning, good lighting, a spacious desk area and tea/coffee making. A well appointed bathroom with the added bonus of a bath and plenty of hot water (essential relaxation after a long day's drive!). Some traffic noise in the evening but nothing much to disturb at night despite the location on a main road. Parking facilities are a bit cramped but adequate and secure. We didn't sample the restaurant or venture into Bayonne town. Overall very impressed at the quality for a very decent price and will certainly use Campanile again.

Good stop on our drive to Spain
Nice Little stop over on the way to Spain. Dogs allowed in hotel if it`s really cold (and it can be). Restaurant had good choice and reasonable as was breakfast. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

Execellent for a budegt hotel. Well situatated and very well thought out room. The restaurant was good and thr receptionist both friendly and helpful. It is located close to the city centre and motorway. Very pleased and will stay again.
