Very disappointing stay..you should update your we
The restaurant was closed, the only food was by the local take-way restaurant. You could order a beer via reception The one person there at reception said the restaurant was closed because they couldn't get staff. Yet they were serving breakfast (no good for us we were leaving at (6am) They blamed Hotels.com/Expedia for us not being aware

Hold dig væk!
Det får 0 stjerner herfra. Idet vi trådte ind i lobbyen på hotellet, blev vi mødt af en sur lugt, som var der ikke blevet gjort rent i lang tid. Da vi ankom til vores værelse var denne lugt mere intens, så vi var nødt til at sprøjte med duft i rummet for, at overdøse den sure lugt. Rummet var utrolig varmt, lagnerne helt fugtige og klamme, og på badeværelset lå der hår fra tidligere gæster i badet, samt at der var blod eller afføring omkring armaturet - ligeledes hang der en død klasket flue på væggen. Vi blev henvist til et andet værelse, men idet vi åbnede døren til det nye værelse, sad der en anden indtjekket gæst på netop dette værelse. Ca. 30 min efter fik vi et tredje værelse, som heldigvis virkede mere rent, men lugtede stadig en anelse surt. Derudover er der meget lydt fra de omkringliggende værelser, gangen samt vejen ude foran.

Very pleasant stay. Rooms spacious but basic. Bedding clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom got everything you would need and very spacious. Getting to hotel is easy just 2km of motorway. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking at hotel is €5 and using sauna also €5. Breakfast is fabulous. Buffet style. Plenty to choose from. Great coffee and teas, continental meats and cheese, jams, cereals, bit of english breakfast if you want as well. Fresh breads and rolls, pastries and fruit. Would definatel stay again if driving that way. Price is just right.

We stayed at this location without any expectations but it was so nice and convenient location right off tge highway on the way to Berlin about 90 mins way. The room was nice and large with clean bathroom and bathtub. Hairdryer, hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were available. About 8 mins away from a shopping mall and a beautiful downtown of Magdeburg.

Very close to the highway #2 Shopping mall in 6mins (Sunday's closed) Clean room with a bath tub Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and lotion. Coffee maker and electric pot with coffee pods and tea bags Great value!

There are better places in the neighbourhood
Where to start... If you'd like to go back in time and see how it was when DDR existed, go to this hotel. You could still smell in the room old cigarettes... Don't get me wrong, room was cleaned and non smoking, but it was not renovated for ages, not even refreshed, so the smell stayed in the walls, furniture etc. No air con, so when it's 30 celcius outside you will have terrible night. You can get the fan from the reception, straight from the 80s. Very small and fails to deliver. Pet policy is a scam, really. They charge 50 EUR for a pet. 72 eur room for 2 people with breakfast, pet additionally 50 eur. Let it sink in. Contrast, 5km away, 1 more star, brand new hotel and they charge 15 eur per Pet. Accor 10 EUR. Breakfast. It's hard to burn scrambled eggs, but it's possible in Magdeburg Hotel. 1 thing is burn, another is serve it... 1 bright thing is lady at the reception who was protecting company policies but was trying to help out tired customer. Kudos to her, she was only filling in from another hotel due to staff shortage, and although she was a bit arrogant and not so polite, she was doing her best to solve for the customer. I just hope this investment company that owns this hotel is paying descent salaries for it's employees that have heart to work in such difficult environment. The will be Courtyard by Marriott soon, quite honestly now they are far away from any type of Marriott Bonvoy hotels.

Terrible service
With the exception of the Manger who checked us in the service was terrible. The safe didn't work and the option was to move rooms or wait until Monday for a maintenance person. We had to pay a fee to park in the private grounds of the hotel. We had a very long journey and had to leave the hotel at 6:45am. At 6am i tried to find some coffee, water but the staff told me there wasn't any even though at 7am was a buffet breakfast. At 6:45 the same story, except three staff were sitting chatting having coffee, and they told us sorry we would have to wait. Nothing was available in the room. Terrible service,

The personnel was super nice and friendly but there are 2 things that left a very bad feeling after my stay: not working toilet flush... + in the room it was very cold , like 14 degrees, heating was off and it took few hours before the temperature was acceptable.... I understand saving on hearing but if they rent rooms and know about guests arrival upfront, I should be heated at least before guest arrival....

A big dissapointment
The experience we've had was quite horrible. We arrived to spend 1 night on our way to another country. The hotel advertised that they have implemented a deep cleaning and desinfection of the hotel rooms so I was expecting a nice fresh smell but our room smelled quite dusty and definitely not clean nor fresh and the decor was quite outdated. The restaurant's chairs were very dirty. But the most disgusting surprise was, when in the middle of the night we woke up to the smell of urine (not ours) and we found out that someone peed on the duvet and they only changed the duvet cover but not the duvet itself so the smell was there. Very disappointed....

Great hotel near motorway
Everything was great but in this hotel they don't have those one time use" slippers so I was disappointed I had to walk bare feet. I would like to encourage management to provide those especially that it is a 4-stars hotel.

Handy enough place near the highway. Two main complaints. #1 - charging for parking. This hotel isn't really in a city center, so most people will arrive by car. Why not just build it into the price? #2 - wifi is ridiculously slow. I've had faster connections in rural Myanmar. Mentioned it to the desk.The woman blamed it on their ISP. But didn't the hotel pick them? Its not horrible, but these issues should be resolved.

According to a decision of the German Federal Finance Court (dated 01.03.2016) hotels have to pay the full VAT rate (19%) for every parking lot. large and clean room, nice staff. breakfast greens are cut/chopped in the previous evening, therefore not so fresh WI-FI , although is free (no paid option) is unusable , each email is a pain to send/receive. (connection bandwidth is under 1mbs)
