Excellent property. Close to a lovely park and the Triumph Arc, which made the area very quiet at all times of day. Rooftop terrace was comfortable and the little bar had enough options, although a bit pricey. Our room took longer than they first indicated to be ready though.

Boy these rooms were tiiiiiiiny. We could barely wheel our suitcases through! There was not enough space for us to pass by each other in the room and we were constantly running into each other and climbing over the bed. At least it was entertaining. Amenities wise - there was no phone, robe, minibar, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, or water in the room. The TV only has channels in Spanish. The staff were very nice and helpful. If you are hoping to check in before 3pm, you will not be able to but they will hold luggage. The bar downstairs was by far the best part of the hotel! Loved the swing chairs. The terrace bar was nice but a little chilly when we visited. Great views.

Exceptional location- hard to beat! Price was very fair for Barcelona standards. Hotel prides itself on design, which was beautiful! My only minor complaint- rooms are very basic. Would have loved to have had a coffee maker for that first dose of coffee in the am ( I chose not to pay for the hotel's breakfast).

There's a lot to fancy about this hotel but I wouldn't return or recommend this chain. It's very close to attractions, good restaurants, the metro and is very safe, clean...etc. The nice/helpful bilingual staff was also a plus. My main gripe is that for a highly-rated 3-star hotel, it's very low on amenities. The standard room was so small, there was no space for a real desk if you wanted to work. No quiet conference rooms for work. Motel One refuses to have phones inside the rooms in all of their hotels. The TV cannot connect to your devices via bluetooth - another inflexible policy. The soap/shampoo nearly dried out my hair! They refuse to allow any coffee/hot water machines inside the rooms (might be a Euro regulation). You'll have to get hot water from the bar, which means multiple trips in one night. The plastic room keys failed many times so that meant more trips to reception. Very irritating. If the cleaning staff accidentally damage/remove your personal items, don't expect compensation. Overall, it was quiet but around the mornings, you can still hear the very loud door slams. That's the way the doors are built. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and fresh/tasty but very limited. Somewhat dull and uninspired. I think other hotels include this at the same price point.

This property was perfect for our short stay in Barcelona! It was located right across from a park and less than a mile walk to the heart of Barcelona that had plenty of shopping and restaurants! There were plenty of options for transportation that made it easy to get around and see all Barcelona has to offer! The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke great English! I don’t have anything negative to say about this stay!

We loved our stay here! The hotel is wonderfully located right in front of the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella - perfectly walkable into the Gothic District, which was most important to us. The staff was lovely, our room was clean, the hotel is quiet and stylish. The only reason I didn’t give it 5s across the board - we would have loved to use the rooftop, which has a stunning view of the park. We once ran up there to catch the sunrise - couldn’t open the door. Another time, hurried up there to view the sunset - no es posible! We would have loved to use that space, but the hours are 11am to 7pm, exactly when people are out and about - not ideal. And not a big deal, but do note - they do not provide hair conditioner! Overall, a wonderful hotel, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The location is good, 15-20 minutes walk from Plaça de Catalunya, close to the Arc de Triomf, alongside Parc de la Ciutadella. The check-in staff member was friendly and honest and funny. All staff I encountered during my one night stay were excellent. I had a room on the fourth floor, looking out on the parks. The only thing I missed was a kettle to make tea! Breakfast next morning was ample and pleasant (it is an extra cost of €14, well worth it). I was also able to fill my flask with hot water for tea later in the morning. Checkout was at noon and I was due to be collected at 2pm, the reception desk staff kindly stored my bags until I was ready to go. I would have booked Motel One again for the Tuesday before Easter but prices were increased for the Easter period. I would gladly stay at Motel One again if the price is right!

Everything was fantastic! It was just me during my stay and while the room was small, I was perfectly fine with it. The only negative was some people were in the hall at 4am and I woke up startled because it sounded like they were actually in my room! They were very loud and walls very thin. Other than that, decor was beautiful, staff friendly, very clean and very close to everything Barcelona has to offer! Would stay again!

A good space for a solo traveler. A clean try room with air conditioning and a safety box. Bus stations are nearby and a metro station is just 6 minutes away. You must try a rooftop bar.

Beautiful space in the heart of the city
We were blown away with this hotel, and had a 10/10 experience! From check in to check out, we loved staying here. Located conveniently near the Arch and the park, you’ll be right in the heart of Barcelona and able to walk throughout the area safely. The beds were extremely comfortable, perfect to fall asleep in after a long busy day of sight seeing, and the rooms and lobby were beautifully decorated. Our favourite part of our stay was having a night cap on the rooftop patio, taking in the skyline of Barcelona by night. Don’t hesitate to stay here, and we will definitely be staying in Motel Ones again as we travel the globe!

Perfect location for a city break
A very stylish hotel set in a great location, with easy access to the Parc, Gothic Quarter, and the Metro. Comfortable bed, powerful shower and blackout curtains, with decent air con in the room too. Didn't have a good view from the window, but the roof terrace made up for that, with great views across the Parc and beyond.

Front desk staff are fantastic - very courteous and helpful with any tourist questions. Great continental breakfast - it wasn't included in our room, but we paid (only 13 euro) and really enjoyed it - and the quirky cool bar/breakfast room. Though the rooms are quite small, they are well thought-out and efficient. Very clean, comfy bed and nice pillows. We had a courtyard view, so the room was very quiet. Bathroom is a decent size, great shower. Roof-top bar deck is a must at sunset! Facing south and west with gorgeous views of the harbour and park. Eclectic arrangement of furniture. Overall, Motel One is a great starting point for any Barcelona adventure. Easy access to transportation and safe area. Absolutely recommend!
