I gave 2 stars for good smoking balcony in reception Otherwise, it's frustrating. Far from Nizami street, main door's lock was broken We felt like our room was opened to the public , toilet door hinges were fallen, and shower water was too cold. Finally, the furniture wasvery worn out and depressing, as if we are living in the nineties. 😪😪😪

The room was clean and the hotel quiet in off season (December). Breakfast buffet had variety of local choices, and options for omelettes. Local bank next door for currency exchange. Excellent fitness center in adjacent building and great massage. Variety of restaurants within walking distance.

I have been using the hayatt hotel in baku since early 2000,s. The quality has got better and the service is fabulous. Prices are more reasonable than they were as well

The rude manner of their reception staff Mr Emin upset me at check in and put an ice bag on my shoulder diminishing my expectation of a comfortable stay. So unwelcome an attitude was surely unexpected from front office staff of a hotel like Hyatt Regency .

A fragrant hotel with the friendliest staff
The hotel smells so good from the lobby up to the room. It feels cozy and inviting. The reception, although always busy, has been helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Ilkin was particularly very accommodating. The breakfast menu hasn’t changed the whole week, but the food has been delicious. Their managers on duty (Kamran and Orxan) made sure to check on us and the other guests if everything is alright. The room has always been tidied up everyday. The housekeeping staff are nice and friendly.

This Hyatt is not five stars. The place is old and needs renovation . When you taking a shower the mold is coming out everywhere. I felt discussing staying there with my friends. I do not recommend this property.

so so
it seems it is trying to be a bit more uppity than it is. staff at breakfast were fantastic, staff at front were a little less so. i ordered a in room massage from outside the hotel. when the girl showed up they tried to charge me for her to come up. no mention at check in, no mention on website both hotel.com and hyatt.com and nothing mentioned in the hotel services folder in the room. they just feel they can arbitrarily charge. the front desk manager at time said only for ladies to room. but a male co-worker is ok. so they are sexist and discriminate. secondly his excuse for not telling at check in was that if we told you everything little thing check in would take 20 minutes. not very professional. simple business law and consumer protection is you cannot charge without notifying the customer. breakfast was delicious and good selection. wifi was pretty good most of the time, location is a bit out of the way but a 10 manat taxi ride or about an hour with walking and metro to centre and old town. not to worry good selection of restaurants near the hotel. rooms were quiet, may be noisier on the front side facing street not sure i was at back facing pool. mattress was old and not matt for softness you could feel the springs which made for not the most comfortable sleep. good hot showers.

Fantastic hotel with VERY service minded staff
A fantastic hotel - the service at this hotel is TOP - 2 persons at this hotel made our stay very special - Mr. Rashad Niyazov - fantastic service and fantastic helpful - first time I met such a service minded person and Mr. Teymur Akhundov - very service minded Food and Beverage Manager - but also the other staff was very friendly and very service minded. Nice stay
This is a very nice hotel with a feeling of being in a small hotel with all the benefits of a Hyatt. Area is suburban and not too far from the city centre. Be aware of the taxis trying to overcharge for short trips.

Very modern hotel with all the amenities. Wonderful copious buffet breakfast. The staff is unbelievably helpful from the reception to the concierge and bell boys.It is not in the center of town so we needed to take a taxi to get to places, but these are quite cheap in Baku. The staff recommended a lovely historic restaurant in a caravan sarai with local food and music. Definitely can recommend the hotel.
