Great location right on the beach, but the aging property seems to be neglected in terms of keep up and maintenance..

Pool needs work very slimy on bottom. Rooms need upgrade tv old dont connect to phone and small. Appliances,stove, dishwasher leaking and refrigerator needs to be replaced. Couch in first room was all scratches. But the kind staff. The staff is grom heaven. Changed the room for me. View amazing right across from ocean. Alot of driving. This property is a little distance away from Atlantic city.

I liked the cleanliness of the room, and the King Size Bed.
I didn't like the air quality in the room. The room thermostat wasn't functioning, I couldn't control the heating and cooling when needed in the room.

This property is in dire need of maintenence. Our first room, the Kitchen sink leaked so bas my wife got drenched when she turned the water on. We asked for another room, the second room, the sink in the bathroom was clogged, several outlets were not working. The staff responded in a timely manner and the sink was clogged.

The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The hotel isn’t dirty just horribly run down. It’s a beautiful deco building and beach front location but the rooms need to be gutted and renovated. Nothing has been renewed in decades. Just repainting and repairing over horribly old infrastructure and furnishings. And no pool should be that color green. Can’t see the bottom of the pool. Gross.

Loved how it is right next to the beach. This hotel was once a very nice place. Unfortunately, a place we once enjoyed going to has went down the drain. We had to change rooms 3 times because each room we went to had mold and they were not really clean. All room doors we were in did not lock properly which is very unsafe. Room one was right by the elevator and the door didn’t even lock. We were able to open the door without using the room key. Also ceiling looked like it was ready to cave in from water damage. Room two had the same problem with the ceiling and door lock but wasn’t as bad as room one. The sofa had been peeling so bad it got all over me. We were very tired and it was late so we were just going to stick it out until the morning. Getting ready to go to bed and we noticed mold on the lamp covers. Upon pulling out the sofa bed the mattress had mold all over it. So we switched to another room. Room three didn’t have water damage in the ceiling but there was water damage on the windows they were trying to cover up. Also the lamp covers had mold as well. We wanted out! We called Expedia to see about a refund since we went through them but they would not refund us and there wasn’t a manager on site to help with this neither. We also couldn’t just afford to go to another place without being refunded for what we had already paid in full. So we decided because the bed didn’t show signs of mold we would just wait to until the morning. The story goes on.

I realize the "Brigantine Inn" has been around for almost 100 years, but it has not been cared for properly. This tired old hotel is located in the best ocean front on the Jersey shore, yet my room had a failing bedroom HVAC unit, dirty kitchen, frayed carpeting and dilapidated furniture. Calling itself a "Legacy" resort is a fallacy.

Size of the PH room was great. Kitchen appliances and tools were fine. Panoramic Views of the ocean Atlantic City and Bay were spectacular day and night especially with the snow. Bed was OK. Pillows could be much firmer. Seating needs updating. Bathroom was way too small. Felt like an airplane toilet. But the power shower was excellent. Lack of any clean up each night by housekeeping was surprising and not appreciated. Paper towel holder was broken which was weird. I think curtains are better suited than the blinds and slats for the windows but very happy that the windows were easy to slide open so you can hear the sea and the seagulls. Pool was OK but very old. Game room was basic but appreciated. Lack of any breakfast area is a massive let down. Parking is ok. The fact that you have to carry your luggage up some steps to reach the lobby entrance is ridiculous. How do older folks deal with such things? Did not try the restaurant or bar as it closed by 10pm and I was not back by then. Elevator was slow. This is just an old oceanfront hotel for people who want to be by the waves in a quiet area and no flashy amenities but to cook for yourself. It was OK.

1 star is honestly too many! Place was disgusting, unkept and disappointing. All photos are deceiving. The bed was broken and the walls are paper thin. Planned to stay here with a friend after a night in AC and was so embarrassed.
Checked out, no way we were staying the night.
Upon checking out, was not asked if there were any issues or concerns. Now reading the reviews, I see why as it seems to be a common occurrence of early checkouts. Wish I read these reviews in advance which is why I feel so compelled to write one myself. Save your time and money!

First room had roaches they move us to another room the leather couch was pilling super bad almost all the leather was off the couch… then they move us again n this room the toilet was leaking just a lil bit the rest of room was good so we just kept the last room .
