Reception was very friendly but when in the Bar Casino we were overlooked by staff who were quite unfriendly, guess it may be due to being the only British people there as all the Spanish were being served first and foremost, we had to approach the staff to ask for drinks. This being the only bar on the complex it wasn't as if we had a choice of places to go. Breakfast buffet was sparse to say the least. The underground spa was a bit spooky when we went as most of the lights were out but overall a good stay, the salt water pool was brilliant.

Cool property. What they don’t tell you on booking is that it is a complex of 3 interrelated properties and they are all quite a distance from the spa facilities. If the one you book is closed or a service is unavailable they will simply move you without asking you. They moved us from a hotel perhaps 250m from the spa complex to one 500m away. Ordinarily no big deal but on a cold winter night having to walk back outside wet from the spa a bigger deal. The gigantic indoor pool was closed (also not advertised) so they “offered” us a pass to their “thermal circuit” which was indoors. We took one look at the tight enclosed hot steamy crowded rooms and maskless guests and went running for the huge outdoor pool. Asked them to comp us something else instead and they refused. The front desk was really invested in arguing that the circuit was perfectly safe. Uh, no. Also, too many kids in the outdoor pool. An adults-only slot would really improve the experience. On the other hand, swimming in a hot thermal pool under a rising full moon in the mountains=magic

Beautiful place to stay
Excellent deal including access to the thermal pools. The hotel was gorgeous and clean and even though there were lots of people around it didn't feel crowded.

Relaxing break
Have been here before with our grandchildren and everything is fine. Room lovely but food in other hotel for evening was not good. Being a Sunday other restaurant was not open. That was the only thing that disappointed us.

Family trip.
A trip with our family and 4 month baby. Couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely rooms, cot put into room for baby, kettle also for bottles. Staff amazing. Exceptionally clean room. So nice we booked another night. Spa included in price and that was also amazing. Will be back soon.

Excellent position close to all spa facilities
Welcome was excellent with the receptionist keen to practice his English. Our room was spacious and clean and we were provided with extra pillows when we asked. The cleaner forgot to replace the glasses but I'm sure we could have got them had we asked (we had a couple of glasses with us so we didn't bother). Each day the room was cleaned to perfection. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good, we didn't take lunch, but were a bit disappointed with the lack of choice at dinner and on the second evening so we tried hotel termas, where the choice was better but service was so fast that we were in and out in 20 minutes! On our third night we returned to Leon and decided we preferred it!

Highly delighted.Wonderful location.We were expecting food and drink to be expensive but the prices wre very resonable.Didn't need to leave the site for anything.

It is the worst hotel experience we have had in Spain. From the time we had to carry our own cases 400meters from the undeground carpark we knew we had made a mistake. We thought we were visiting a refurbished spa where we could relax for a day before taking a long journey. We found an old tired hotel that had built a new "Spa" that was more like a coastal waterpark and it was being used as such by all ages. Not at all what we expected and we did not want to dine there at all in the end we just slep there to avoid the need to find somewhere els for our one night stop. Next time we will go back to Fortuna where we have enjoyed visits before

Hotel Leon, perfect for relaxing
We had a superior room and it was lovely, light and very clean. We have stayed in the standard room also and this was well worth the little extra.We had a very private balcony and the room was very large.The spa is fab and much better value to stay at the hotel and have 2 days at the spa (included in the hotel price) than to pay just to enter for the day. Hotel restaurant is quite pricey but Archena is just a 15min, lovely walk away. Not that much there but its nice. Myself, my husband and 5 year old daughtre had a lovely time! Cant wait to go back soon.

Me gustó mucho el Balneario de Archena el hotel muy atentos mucha limpieza todo prácticamente a mano piscinas aguas termales pero sí es verdad que hay una cosa que no me ha gustado que en la habitación no tuviéramos un frigorífico pequeño para poder mantener un poco de agua fresca con el calor que hace

Trevlig, serviceinriktad personal. Mycket, mycket lyhörda rum, ganska obekväma sängar. Rymligt rum och fint badrum. Frukostbuffén och middagsbufféen var bedrövliga, under all kritik. Avråder bestämt från att äta på hotellet. Sammantaget fungerar för en övernattning om man äter på annan restaurang. Vi kommer att välja annat hotell vid nästa besök.

Tyvärr skulle hotell Leon stänga dagen efter vår ankomst, så vi fick rum på hotell Levante istället. Helt ok, då de ligger intill varandra. Vår vistelse här på Balnearo de Archena blev lika bra denna gången också. Alltid trevligt, mycket serviceinriktad personal, underbara pooler och termalium med flera olika bastur, saltvattenpool, iglo och utomhuspooler. Bra covid-19 arrangemang överallt. Vi rekommenderar alla en vistelse här!

Una joya desvanecida por el tiempo.
El entorno hace que te sumerjas en otras noches de la historia y te sientas relajado y fuera de toda tu actividad diaria. Para nosotros dar un paseo y tomar un café en el Casino nos ha hecho volver después de un mes, ahora reconozco muchas carencias en la renovación del Hotel León, el cual bajo mi punto de vista necesita una inversión alta para la mejora de sus instalaciones porque es muy bonito y atendiendo por gente muy profesional pero está muy descuidado y antiguo para todo el tránsito personas que nosotros vimos las dos veces que nos alojamos allí.

En general es fantástico, quitando de algún pequeño detalle que se puede mejorar, cómo por ejemplo que el ruido de la máquina sopla hojas se puede hacer mas tarde cuando la gente ya no esté descansando...y en la carta del casino hay mojitos y copas que luego no tienen. Por lo demás está muy bien
