Not at walking distance from old town
The hotel offers everything you need but it is on the ring road, not allowing guests to walk to the old town despite being less than 20 minutes away.

This hotel is far from the old town and lake, has an odd layout and looks dated. The initial room we were given did not look anything like the pictures; I complained and we were moved to a newer room. Pictures make the place look a lot nicer than it actually is though and could be better cleaned. I would not stay again.

Good stop
Good hotel. On site parking is convenient and breakfast is decent. Only downside is finding the hotel if you are driving. The exit on the main road can be a bit challenging.

Lovely stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Be aware of the slip road to the hotel on the right as it comes upon you pretty sharp!

This property bills itself as air-conditioned. Even the proprty's road-side sign says only the hotel name and the fact it is air-conditioned (in French). After checking in, it was hot in the room but we could not get the AC to come on. We contacted the front desk and we're told the system for the whole property would not be turned on for another month! (Temps outside were already in the 70s). We asked for a fan. They had none and were not willing to get one for us despite the situation. We had to go out and buy a fan ourselves. It was either that or change hotels. We showed the front desk our purchase and we're denied an accommodation until we demanded to speak with the manager. Only then did we demand and receive a free breakfast.

the hotel was comfortable ,but very dated in its appearance/interiors..generally we did not use the on-site restaurant..menu was limited and expensive for what it was.This also applies to the breakfast which at 17 euros per person was very expensive...would not stay in another mercure ..they tend to be old or outdated locations as this one was.

Two night stay
Location just outside Annecy town. 30min walk down hill but worthwhile stroll to canal & lake. Can get bus if don't want to walk. Hotel clean & tidy. Staff very helpful & friendly. Hotel is sat back from busy main road but didn't notice traffic noise. Good for short stay & good value.

Very good hotel just a short bus ride from the centre of town or a 45 minute walk. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment but the room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Onsite parking is very good.The only negative which is only minor is the room does not have a refrigerator.

Nice hotel in the wrong location. At least 30 minutes walk from the lake on a busy motorway. It is suited more to business stay than pleasure. On a positive note, the food quality was high and at reasonably priced.

Extremely good value hotel within 5 min. of lake
Hotel was clean, well maintained and very convenient for centre of Annecy. Parking was free and price was half that of some similar hotels. As usual breakfast was overpriced but a light breakfast ( croissant, bread ,jam and coffee was also offered at a reasonable price

This was a last minute booking because our original hotel called us the night before saying they were overbooked. We happily found this Mercure to be close to center and in a quiet area. We were, however, that night, surprised to find animals along the driveway up to the hotel. I'm talking camels, miniature horses, a llama, a donkey…not kidding you. Perhaps a circus in town??We laughed and laughed because it was late and perhaps we were just seeing things. Anyway, we had to be buzzed into the hotel grounds (big plus for security). The restaurant was nearing closing but they were kind enough to take us anyway. The rooms were very clean and comfy. No complaints there. Breakfast was not included in our rate and cost us a whopping 16.50/pp!! It was a cold and warm buffet. There were eggs, sausage, and bacon. You could choose to make boiled eggs. Just seemed incredibly high for what you were offered. I think I would choose against it next time, but for the sake of convenience, we ate on site. We would certainly stay at this hotel again. Never did get an answer about the animals outside. They were still there in the morning when we left.

This hotel is in a good condition, well decorated and furnished. Stuff are helpful and polite. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable, easy parking. The breakfast was very nice.

Excellent hotel. But off the main and center of Annecy. Easy 5-10 minutes drive down to the center and parking plentiful during off season. Do not make a left turn out the hotel toward Annecy. 100 Euro ticket. Mercure has another property in Annecy. Good choice, but be aware of location.

The hotel is perfectly adequate, clean, good service and has the benefit of parking but the location isn't ideal being next to a busy road which makes the walk down to the lake not very nice.

We spent two nights here (couple with 5yr old) when touring France from UK. Pool was great for child, location was fine, bus or taxi ride to town (15 Euro for taxi home at night). Excellent service from lovely staff. Nothing to do in immediate surroundings but price reflected that. Def recommend this hotel.

This was a real disappointement Old rooms that smell of stale smoke still in the 1970's ! Stained carpets & washbasin The bed was ok though doll size cushions! We asked for a different room but as we had booked with an operator No changes were possible they told us! The pool area had been cleaned but all the dirt and stones were in and directly around the pool So just save yourself the hassle and don't go There are plenty of other hotels that are nicer and breakfast isn't 15€ extra.

Brilliant value for money!
I was a bit worried about booking this hotel - it seemed very low priced for the area - but it turned out just to be great value for money! Great room, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was fine, loads of free parking - highly recommended! The only slight negative is that the hotel approach is a bit scrappy - it looks like it's on a run-down retail park, but don't be put off by that - it's worth staying there!

We didn't find the distance to the centre of annecy too far but if u don't like walking or being in the suburbs of a town its best not to book this hotel. Can't fault the hotel at all, we had everything we needed.

The hotel is too far from Annecy to be able to walk there comfortably although bus service helped. Hotel restaurant provided an excellent buffet breakfast but by contrast, evening meal choices very limited and quality of food was disappointing. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We stayed 4 nights and had to work hard to find alternative eating places.

Nice hotel with free parking and a pool with terrace, although I didn't use the pool as the weather was cold. About a 15 min walk into the centre. Annecy is a beautiful place and my only regret was I only stayed there for one night. I will be back and would stay in this hotel again.
