We noticed bites on our bodies after we had been itching all day. Once we researched the common bites it was concluded Bed bug bites. The toilet was not clean properly and garbage in waste basket from previous guests.

Although the interior of the property is pretty dated, it was very clean, comfortable bed, the staff were very accomodating, wonderful hot shower and the bathroom was fairly new compared to the rest of the room. It is a budget hotel after all so overall was very happy with our stay. Transport nearby, approx 10 mins and plenty of shops and places to eat near. Enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam.

The staff was rude the black lady at the front was rude to us they said check in early for 20 euros and we waiting over a hour they was rude throughout and we had a uncomfortable experience

20 minute walk from a 40 minute train, I liked it but I can understand if someone didn't. My shower was broken the first two days I was there. A lot of good Mediterranean food around it.

We had a comfortable stay, It was very noisy and the windows are too old to block out even someone coughing in the street. The rooms all look a little tired. The pillows are very uncomfortable (lumpy) and so were the mattresses which was the same for all 4 beds in our family room. Bathroom was clean but also looking very tired. Environmental claims cannot be substantiated with plastic beakers and changed towels which was not necessary on a short stay. More hanging/storage facilities in the bathroom needed in a family suite. TVs could be upgraded to smart ones. The nightly room rate wasn't cheap, so I think some upgrades are needed. General cleaning was ok, but we did find belongings from previous customers in our room which meant that its not thorough enough. Breakfast was plenty and my only comment would be to add fresh fruit salads instead of tinned or a bigger variety of fresh fruits on the side.

Basic hotel over 40 mins from the centre of Amsterdam so expect to use your travel pass, hotel is in the middle of a housing estate with some supermarkets near and bus/tram links to the airport and Centraal Station DO NOT leave valuables around in your room as I came home to find my UK currency wallet had been emptied of the money I had left for when I got back to the uk and this left in my bag, so in short I suspect staff at the hotel had taken the money while cleaning the room. Im yet to get a response from the hotel

Nice place, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Multicultural neighborhood with lots of shopping and restaurant choices in walking distance. Building is a little older, but mostly kept very well. A few minor items like hard to adjust shower taps. Otherwise a very good deal for the location

I liked the staff while having breakfast & girls at reception. Guys were not friendly. The property looked clean but old. Linen & towels need to be updated. Unfortunately on our second day we had a bad experience. 2 of the shower towels had blood stains on them. When contacted the hotel receptionist, they immediately apologized for the inconvenience. I asked for manager but they said manager will contact us the next day & compensate us for the inconvenience. We never heard from the manager. At the time of check out I let the receptionist know I would like to speak with the manager & file a complaint. They said we can only fill in a form & Expedia will contact us via email. I’m very dissatisfied & disappointed with the service I received from the receptionist & I will never come back here. This was a horrible way to say goodbye to the dissatisfied guest.

Shops and restaurants around the corner. Comfortable and clean. Just the basics in the washroom. Front desk staff was very helpful. Approx 40 Euro taxi ride to city centre, but bus to tram fairly close (direct tram that goes to city centre approx 850m away). Public transport tickets available at front desk.

Despite some of the recent reviews my partner and I had a great stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was very clean. It is within walking distance of the tram service, the reception staff were helpful with how to use it and we purchased tickets at reception. I’d recommend staying here, it is a city so prices are going to be more expensive!

The room we had felt cold and clammy as there was no AC or fan to circulate air. The room did not have any coffee maker, electric kettle. The asked for a triple room and it was clean, and we have a good amount of space for the 3 of us. The Inn is walking distance to cafes and many Halal restaurants. They rent out bikes by the hour and by the day. They have dispensers for snacks and coffee. Overall, a good basic place to stay. We did not get to try out their breakfast.

Unfortunately New West Inn was a terrible experience the room had a old cabinet with the doors torn out as a closet. The bathroom was moled, the shower curtain was a old fabric curtin,no vent in the bathroom it smelled of sewer, carpet dirty, air condition in room was noisy did not allow us to sleep. Dirty coffee mugs, there was a tea kettle with mole inside.
