Never stay here
The carpets were thread bare. The stairs were narrow and steep with no left, not suitable for anyone with a disability. There was mold in the bathroom. The window was damaged. The room was not properly cleaned. There was only one pillow each, I had to put towels undermine as it was to low and I woke up first morning with a pain in my neck. There was no hot water for the interiority of our stay. Quite frankly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Hotel isnt clean at all. Bed was full of bed bugs. Was advertised as having a bar, but its only open 1 night per week and was told check in is at 2pm. We showed up at 3.30 and was told our room isnt ready. Would not recommend

Avoid!!! The condition of this hotel is more than terrible!! That was the worst hotel I've ever been. I've paid £310 for 3nights and seriously it was worth it maybe 100pounds for 3 nights. Some hostels are in better condition than this hotel. Very disappointed...

Funtional rather than luxurious, this room was perfectly fine if you're not concerned about fancy things when looking for somewhere to stay. Very beige rooms and very small but bed, ensuite and room was comfortable and clean. Shower was great, and fab location - 5-10 minutes to the city centre. Staff changed sheets and towels every day and were polite in check in and out. Would recommend if you're easily pleased.

Location was good and staff were helpful. But hotel itself was very shabby with filthy carpet, chipped linoleum, polystyrene tiles in poor condition. We were placed in an Expedia room on third floor up very steep narrow stairs, no lift etc. The room was like someone's attic - really shoddy. Cheap bed but nice clean bedding, no other furniture but an old plastic chair. No toiletries or soap but clean towels. The staff kindly moved us the following day to the ground floor, also very basic but slightly better. Still no soap etc. Our advice - do not book this hotel! It should not be on Expedia's website.

Couple fun in Amsterdam

Hostel that advertises as hotel
Not worthy of being called a hotel, if anything it's a budget hostel. When we arrived we were told we couldn't pay with card due to 'construction work outside disrupting the connection' which caused many complications for us, as taking that much cash out in one go proved difficult. We spent the whole of our last morning in the city searching for ATMs that would let us do so. After looking into more of their reviews, it became clear that the construction work excuse wasn't new and had been used multiple times since 2009. The worst part of my experience however, was the way we were spoken to by the manager of the 'hotel'. We found her to be extremely rude and patronising. She also seemed to be making up things as she went along and backtracking each time we called her up on it. On the other hand, the two younger receptionists couldn't have been nicer. The room and shared bathroom themselves felt unsanitary and were not at all comfortable. We were able to hear everything that was going on in the two rooms in our corridor as the walls were so thin. One of the only positives that can be drawn from this expereince was the Italian restuarant on the corner. Very convenient and very reasonable.

Well located but basic hotel
If all you need is a bed for a few nights then this hotel is a cost effective option, but the rooms are small and facilities basic. There is no lift to the rooms which may be an issue for some. The staff were friendly, and I would consider staying here again. The hotel is located close to a tram stop with good access to the centre of Amsterdam.

If you’re over 25, forget it....
Nice friendly and informative check-in with lots of help to get around and explore Amsterdam, but the room.... well, student dorm probably describes it best. Iron beds from a bygone era, the wardrobe is actually just a rail, fuzzy TV, a towel the size of a pillowcase and they clearly don’t trust you with the tv remote because there isn’t one. I expect much much more. But, if you’re on a gap year and sharing with four friends bunking up around Europe then this might be for you.... but then if I were you I’d probably opt for a houseboat instead.

Don't stay there - it's bed bug infested
The Hotel was not only dirty, but infested with bed bugs. The service is catastrophically incompetent. I first had room 36 and woke up after about 2 hours due to itchings and discovered bites all over my bag. I search the bed and found several bed bugs. The reception (staffed with a girl who was not even wearing shoes) moved me to their 'deluxe room'. After two hours of sleep, the same thing again: bed bugs that were sucked full of blood. I again went to reception who explained that they had no further room. She was also unable to arrange accommodation with another hotel. My night therefore ended at 4 am after hardly 4 hours of sleep. I was reimbursed my money and just out into the night. The promised follow-up call by the manager to discuss compensation never came and calls from my side to the hotel to follow-up are met with requests to call again tomorrow,.. I have stayed at many hotels in Amsterdam over the past two years as I work there. This has been simply a catastophy. The place should be closed down - don't stay there!

NO ROOM WHATSOEVER!
If you can cope with having to shuffle round a room with no space then stay here. The rooms are tiny and look much bigger on the website pictures. Also not decorated as it looks. Rooms are roasting hot an nothing to cool it down. no bath mats so extremely dangerous. Only one towel a day, no use for when you wash your hair. Just dont stay here.

I asked to check out 20 minutes after the check out time and the reception screamed NO when I told her I only just needed to take a shower. Also, the rooms didn't have an elevator to reach, but instead had a really tight staircase. It is not that good of a Hotel and I do not recommend it due to the overall hotel situation and the not so friendly staff. I checked in 9 hours after the check in time yet couldn't allow me to stay for 20 minutes beyond the check out. DONT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

It was Good experience. The neighborhood is safe, room and toilet clean. Wi-fi working ;) just around 15-20mins by walking to the Central of Amsterdam so on the way you can see many beautiful places. Definitely can recommend

Had a second floor room with shared bathroom. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Clean towels were given every day. The shared bathroom was always clean although sometimes a small queue to use. The hotel staff were very pleasant. 20 minute walk into the city centre. I'd stay here again.

Great hotel, close to everything in Amsterdam
Nice hotel, close to almost all the attractions in Amsterdam, small room, small bathroom however it is according to the price you pay for, wireless internet access. Nice and helpful staff, everything was ready when we arrived, even it was almost midnight. Price was fair, the only thing was the small stairs. I would book this hotel again.

The location of this hotel was the best part of our experience. It is within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, coffe shops, etc It is unfortunate that the owner is not willing to invest in improving the hotel conditions, ammenities, etc. It is defnitely overpriced. The staff was friendly, the rooms were dissapointing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend.

We weren't expecting much. Nice neighborhood across the street from a small university school. Lovely Nelly greeted us & we went up the tiny stairs to a typical European type floor. Lots of doors small hallway. The room is adequate and the beds are comfy. Room was facing the street so we had some late night noise which was fine for a big city. Close to tram for quick access to all Amsterdam. Nelly was a great hostess and helped us with directions & maps.

Well, I guess a cheap hotel in Amsterdam is impossible. This was not worth the price, but did the job. If you're a minimalist, this place will do, but shop around first. Clean, white room. No fan, gets hot in spring. Lots of stairs, no lift, or bellhop. Our bed was made once for the 6 nights we stayed there. Front desk help is friendly. The location is great if you're going to bike, we got around everywhere, no problem. Little shops and cafés are right around the corner. The beauty of Amsterdam made this hotel seem better than it actually was.

Pricey, but very low standard!
If you dont mind looking at mysterious stains in the celing while trying to fall asleep in a dirty, squeeky bed with unclean sheets this might be your place. The toilet was dirty and the floor drain was constantly full of water, making the bathroom very slippery. This place has extremly low standard and very expensive. Would have been OK if the price was a third of what it was.

Hotel was the cheapest deal I found at the time which was few days before Exhibition. I knew the bathroom was shared. The bathroom door can not be locked but water was good pressure and hot water. The hotel is not 5 stars neither 4 but good enough for few nights.

I had booked a double room with a bathroom, but was put into a room with no less than 7 beds in it, which gave the impression of staying in an empty hostel (in fact I even checked that no one else was staying with me). The room was clean enough, but pretty tatty - much more the decor of a budget hostel than a mid priced hotel. The room had one radiator which was hanging off the wall and gave no heat at all, so I had to get multiple quilts from a few beds to keep warm. Finally, the wireless internet was broken, which caused me major inconvenience and the receptionist just shrugged when I told her and said she did not know how to fix it. Overall, I was not impressed.

Нормальный бюджетный отель. Ничего плохого сказать нельзя. Расположен немного далековато от центра, внутри конечно очень побитый жизнью. Общая ванная и туалет на этаж. В принципе, нормально, проблем с попаданием в эти места абсолютно не было. Плюс в номере есть своя раковина. А эти небольшие нюансы полностью перекрываются низкой ценой за проживание. А на фоне других доступных отелей, она и вправду очень низкая. Плюс, там очень тщательно следят за чистотой! Даже замена полотенец производилась ежедневно, несмотря на то, что отель всего-лишь тройка. В общем - отлично!
