We spent one night before leaving for a trek to Petra. The hotel is fine. I wouldn't call the staff particularly helpful. We asked for restaurant suggestions for dinner. We weren't interested in the buffet and were directed to a street with Jordanian fast food. We eventually found a good local place by asking in a shop. The breakfast buffet had a variety of food and was fine.

The property location is perfect. everything you need is available for you. I spent 4 days at this hotel. AC at night time turns off, There is no cleaning to the rooms while I was staying there. No paper towels. Basically, this property is for a working person with no family. Employees were helpful and nice.

Breakfast needs to improve. There were no utinsil to eat with or napkings. The wifi was not existant. The staff was very friendly though.

The property had a mall nearby and ATMs to draw out money. Also there was a supermarket to buy food. The breakfast was horrible, there were no utensils for eating and we saw the staff put someone's leftovers into the food they were serving.

Reasonably priced, safe
A reasonably priced hotel, not fancy but with basic amenities in a safe neighborhood with a lot of shopping options and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast which is included, begins at 6:30 AM, so it is convenient for early morning tours to places like Petra. Recommended for single, female travelers.

The bathrooms need to be redone. Not enough lights in the bedroom. No electrical outlets either in the bathroom or in the bedrooms.

Its a convenient hotel in a quiet area of amman, easy access to other sites. Staff is friendly, helpful and ready to advice. breakfast is good with wide range o. wifi available in the lobby but not in the rooms. The hotel gets busy and noisy at night because of a club/music room! which might not be comfortable for families.

Hotel bathroom was best part. Standup shower and very modern. Service was helpful. Breakfast was not very good, but it was available and saved money. Location is pretty good and lively rather late.

I had problems with the wifi system in the hotel, you have to have a new user name and password every single day, and every time you use the mobile you need to log in, they never told me that I knew by chance,so they are unorganised and not clear. I stayed with my sister and she left 2 days before me when she used the hotel taxi to the airport they didn't explain that the money should go to the hotel not the taxi driver so she paid the taxi driver, so when I checked out I had to pay for my taxi and my sister's as well and that issue yet o be solved with them. The towels are very old, staff generally quite friendly and the hotel is close to lots of shops and a shopping mall.

Liwan Hotel in Amman
The pictures of the hotel facilities and room conditions which are available on-line are misleading. I made my decision of booking a room in Liwan hotel based on these pictures and online information, however, the hotel was below average and the level of room cleanses is not good at all and prices are high in comparison to the level of the hotel. The only good thing in this hotel - in my opinion- is the location of the hotel. It is located in popular and nice district where you can find shopping malls, restaurants, cafe shops and other entertainment facilities. I rarely needed a cab.

Poor hotel
I did stay at Liwan Hotel in Amman while in a tour. Definitely I don't recommend this hotel. The only good thing is the location: near a big mall, supermarket, pharmacy and money exchanges.

Everyone in Jordan was very nice .for me as a stranger they were of a great help .i felt like it was easy to me to walk around . The hotel was in the middle of a nice area SWEfee full of life at night .

I understand this is a 2 star hotel so expectations can't be high. But it was horrible. Dirty room. Super uncomfortable bed. Tv satellite never worked. You were only able to flush the toilet every 20 minutes. Shower pressure was so low you'd have to be in there for triple the time to ensure you we're rinsed. Internet only works from lobby.

Liwan experience
it has been a pleasure to stay in Liwan hotel. the room is very comfortable, bathroom is clean and the staff is extremely professional, courteous and helpful. The hotel is situated in the centre of the city and is convenient to the local shopping. Food is excellent and we have fully enjoyed our selves. If we decide to visit Amman again, I will definitely chose this hotel and have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Awful no change in the past dozen years
i stayed there in 2001 when everything was almost new. The hotel is now 0 stars with dedicated staff that takes care of garbage. No changes were done to the hotel in the past dozen years. You can imagine what it look like. Lobby is nice looking as if it belongs to different hotel. Bathrooms tubs and sinks are not working with cracks everywhere. Carpet is very dirty. I was charged extra for the internet that I was advised to move down one floor in order to be able to use. They put my life on hold waiting for the situation to be fixed. Employees are super nice. Management is super cheap.

The location of the hotel is not too bad; however, the size of it is very small. When we went there, the staff seemed to be professional and nice; however, the quality of the rooms from mattresses, sheets, carpet, to the bathrooms is very very poor. It was very dreadful to see numerous stains of different colors and sizes on the sheets and carpet...it was disgusting!!! Furthermore, the rooms were very small! As for their advertisement about what is available, most of it is NOT true. They do not provide free internet and do not have cribs for children as it's posted. Overall, even though the staff members were descent, the construction of the hotel needs a LOT of work from bottom up. Best wishes for the management team to make positive changes, as I had told them in person, don't let your hotel go out of business.

Very good 3 star hotel in amman.
The hotel was located in a shopping district of amman so perfect for women to shop. The room was big and bathroon as well, friendly staff and room service good. It is surrounded by shops and places to eat. Located on a hill and about 1/2 hour away from airport. A cab will cost you about 25-30 jordanian dinars (about $40 U.S. flat rate) from/to airport. I recommend this hotel for anybody staying in amman. I enjoyed it and would stay again.

Hotel was clean, but cramped. Service however was lacking. Laundry: Laundry was sent to be cleaned, but what was returned belonged to another room. It took an hour for them to find my items. Room Service: Some items on menu are not offered when called for. Phone numbers: Some phone numbers on the card in the room do not call the departments indicated. Maid service: Often had to request some items to be taken care of after room was serviced, such as removing trash, bringing towels and toilet paper. Noise: There is a club on the 2nd floor which starts after midnight and can be heard on the floors above. Bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper, or go down and join the party. For English speakers: Only a few of the staff understand English, but then again this is an Arabic speaking nation. For the price, it's not a bad option, and the community is safe. Just be aware that you may need to be proactive when needing services. A mall is across the street which has a nice coffee shop and a couple restaurants as well as the usual mall stuff.

Booked and stayed at the 3 star Liwan Hotel after good reviews from Tripadvisor. There was a comment about the disco and noise and Liwan Hotel management said they will close it. Every night the disco or music was on till 4am. There is also extension/renovation work to the hotel so you might hear building work noise from 9am too. Breakfast not included on my Expedia package but the 3.5 JD for continental breakfast of fruit juice,toast and an egg plus coffee/tea was not filling so the next day gave it a miss. Liked the hotel service but not the noise nor the breakfast on offer
