Hotel Not In Best Spot, But With Grand Features
Arrived to see a clueless desk clerk who couldn't seem to find my reservation, even as I showed my Hotels.com receipt. Not to worry, he said as he said he had a room for me and charged my card at my request in Jordan Dinars, instead of US dollars, as other places did without asking (you get a better exchange rate with the credit card in local currency). The room was the largest of my trip with two sitting areas, but a TV that didn't work. A later desk clerk (Noa?) changed my room and programmed the TV. Smaller bed, but better bathroom. First room had an outlet that didn't work. Room service was terrible. Two if 4 days with no towels. And in the second instance, I actually saw the cleaning man (no ladies in UAE or Jordan), gave him my towels, and hung a Make Up Room card on the door knob, which was still there when I returned in the evening, bed not made, garbage not removed. He never came in. Late staff brought me towels. I saw other guests complaining about the same thing later. Refrigerator had to be replaced as well. The bathtub had no soap dish, requiring me to bend down to the tub side to get soap or shampoo. The area was quiet, and you had to walk a bit to find an avenue with eateries, and a long distance to the Boulevard, a modern mall. No buses, really, necessitating taxis, with whom you must bargain or they rip you off. Desk staff good to reasonable English. Not so with support staff.

hotel is good for business travellers
The room I stayed in is not on the same par as European hotels. 4star rating is not justified, as the room looks very tired and in need of refurbishment. However the bed linens were clean. Unfortunately the towels were discoloured and the bathroom was in the condition that you would expect from 2 or no star hotel. Windows were very dirty, looks like it has not been cleaned for very long time. Wi-fi was good. Far away from any shopping area you need to take a taxi, as it is in business district. Airport transport is more expensive from this hotel as I paid 25JD. Second circle hotels charge 20JD. They don't use the taxi meter for some reason

Terrible breakfast. Hotel staff smoking in the reception. Air conditioning fails to work most of the time.

Friendly staff but older, slightly run down hotel
The hotel has seen better days but the staff is friendly and helpful. The price is quite high though and I think there are better deals out there.

Great staff so so room misleading service
April 2015 hotel seemed surprised when we arrived. Ali at front desk incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. Also gave us his personal cell and encouraged us to call if we ran into any problems. Room good size but a little shabby with stained chair. Musty odor in room.Good shower and nice breakfast. Free parking consisted of driving over sidewalk in two available spaces Also advertised credit cards accepted but their credit card machine didn't work.

Needs Revamp
This hotel may have been good 20 years ago but now very out of date. Service was good but hotel needs a complete overhaul . Pizza Hut just across the street was good . Stayed at Marriott other days in Amman for less money per night and it was a GREAT 5 STAR hotel.

This hotel has seen better times
The hotel probably was rated 4 stars long time ago. Right now the place is just not in the best condition. Staff are friendly, and the location is not bad (calm area, just 2 dinars from the citadel by taxi), but the rooms are maintained with little care (frayed doorframe, stained carpet, old furniture...). For the price, it's not worth it. Just for a little more it's possible to get a real 4* hotel or even a 5* hotel.

Le Vendome is a fine addition to the burgeoning Amman hotel scene. My room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced (discount factored in for Ramadan), and the staff were superb. I'd highly recommend a stay at Le Vendome.

Handig gelegen hotel
Een prachtige receptie met hotel kamers die niet echt goed schoon gehouden worden, vooral de badkamer. Groot verschil in de grootte van de kamers voor ongeveer dezelfde prijs. Voor een kort verblijf, max één week, is het hotel geschikt. Een aantal restaurants op loopafstand. Receptionisten zeer vriendelijk. De gegevens van de hotelwebsite kloppen niet helemaal, bv restaurants/koffieshop.
