Good location Staff helpful Never a five star hotel Souless, dated and rooms have zero soundproofing. Worst thing was half a weeks laundry cost $80 to do!! Daylight robbery. Overall it was fine, but nothing special.

Our hotel stay was amazing. Very helpful front desk and hotel staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Many of the staff spoke English and were very helpful on local information and suggestions. Housekeeping staff were there every morning and supplied water, tea and coffee to our room. Our original stay was for 7 days but we had to extend our stay twice, and the hotel staff took care of everything. We had the breakfast buffet every morning and were very pleased with the food selections. We will stay here again whenever we return to Almaty!

Really liked this hotel in Almaty. The breakfast was great. Rooms were really bright, very clean and spacious. Staff was super helpful. Overall it was perfect and no complaints whatsoever. Will stay again if I’m ever back in Almaty.

Check-in as a VIP access was granted at 11 am. Late check-out was also given to us. Airport transfers were done for us. Friendly and helpful front desk and staff. The place is within walking distance to popular Almaty attractions.

I visit Almaty at least ones a year for one or two weeks for the past 8 years I always stay at the Dostyk. Love the Place, the staff are very professional, polite, helpful. The location is very convenient. The food at the restaurant and bar suburb, kudos to the chef Alecksandr Fomich, he never disappoints. The rooms are a little outdated, however clean and very comfortable. I wish they would install a railing on the front steps. In the winter it makes me nervous because of the possibility of slipping. I will definitely be back.

Great
Grat stay, friendly staff, front desk was very helpful when I had an emergency and needed to go to a hospital, they arranged everything including Taxi to hospital, who refused to take any money for the ride. That was very kind and helpful from the Hotel and the Taxi driver side. All I can say is THANKS

The hotel room is bigger than average clean very big comfortable bed. Our 15 month old baby had a nice comfortable crib too. Due to COVID measures the restaurant and swimming pool were not open. Hotel is in a wealthy part of the city’s very close to restaurants and cafes. We had a great stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We will stay here again

Formal and very comfortable great airport pick up
Room was excellent great bathroom ,large room Breakfast very well presented in a fairly formal room. Negatives the beauty services went available dispite the hotel Saying they were,pool was functional but a Little tired Last of all while some of the reception staff and foyer staff were wonderful one woman was not at all welcoming or helpful

Wonderful stay!
Staff were very helpful and receptive even though our flight arrived at 1:30am. The room was clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The Spa was also a highlight allowing us to relax completely our first day before setting out on any adventures and then to relax again at night.

Service was very good. Nice rooms. The business center printer needs a new ink cartridge; it only prints in pink. The view from our room was a roof; you could inquire about rooms with a view. The wifi worked well.

Hidden gem
Loved it here. 5 stars all the way from the super early check-in to the late check out. The wonderful staff could not do enough for me. Great location, huge rooms, fast wifi, which can be an issue here. Lovely bars, great spa, saunas, gym and pool big enough for laps. The kicker was the Kubrick-esque corridors. I stayed a week and did not want to leave. Almaty is a wonderful city as well. A hidden gem, just like the Dostyk. I’ll be back.

Hidden gem in Almaty
Amazing room. Fantastic room. The breakfast is probably 4/5 but good nonetheless, omelet bar is always a plus. Pool available, medium sized. Small fitness rooms available. Didn't try the massages but it would have been okay I'm sure. Walking distance to metro, museum and not very far from Dostyk Plaza, an awesome mall. Room service is okay. There's also a fantastic bar, and if my wife and I still smoked we would have had some cigars. Great stay. They even helped my wife when she had her phone stolen. These guys are great. If in Almaty again would stay for sure!

Comfortable room and bathroom. The breakfast Buffet is excellent - wide variety of salted and sweet food. Fresh fruits. There is a tourist center in the hotel, which is very convenient. Only regret : no staff to help with suitcases in the stairs

Charming hotel in the heart of Almaty
Great hotel in a great location in Almaty. Unfortunately, our stay was short, but the staff were very warm and helpful during our move from the US. They allow pets, which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel - and the staff helped us a lot after our late night arrival - helping with cleaning supplies and laundry service after our dog's 20 hours in a crate.
