"We weren't very pleased with this place. For starters, we found out upon arrival that we had to pay 6000 tenge for two people/two nights. Below is the only mention of potential fees: "Hotel fees The price DOES NOT include any applicable hotel service fees, charges for optional incidentals (such as minibar snacks or telephone calls), or regulatory surcharges. The hotel will assess these fees, charges and surcharges upon check-out." The staff claimed this was a newly imposed tax from Feb 2023....

"Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The exterior is not new, but my room was nicely appointed. The water takes a very long time to get warm. Just when I was about to give up on it, it got better. Norice that I said warm. It never gets scalding hot, but it is good enough for me. The front desk usually has an English speaker available which helps a lot. "Older hotel, but in a good way. Not luxury but comfortable and quiet. good bed and work area and internet. Nice leafy area. 24 hour supermarket and money exchange steps away. Lots of restaurants within a 15 minutes walk. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff that usually included a fluent English speaker."
